well ive noticed this problem ever sense ive had the car, basically the problem is that i start the car up, and before she gets warm she runs terrible, she bogs down and hesitates sometimes dosnt even get into gear going from 2nd to first. anyone, im stumped. the dad says he things its just the engine being cold.... and i dont think so, anyone? its really pissing me off, ill post out a video of need be.

also ive bin searching for info on this for about 2 months.. and yes, i actually searched everything from rough idle to hesitation in the search....
 
im going to say mid RPM's. right over 3-4k she sounds like shes throwing up and the whole car shakes, but after she warms up for about 2 min shes fine.
 
yep. mine does that. a little over 3 as the imrcs open.
i just dont rev it up til it warms up.
 
the car shifts fine when stopping. but when in neutral the car dosnt rev all the way up. it bogs down just like its driving.

engines only got 60K on her.

so i would have to replace my IMRC's?
 
well, December i put brand new Plugs and plug wires (8mm). just put on a new throttle body and gasket... and thats about it.
 
IMRC's, IAC or TPS is where I would be going. The TPS should have been changed when the TB was changed and while the TB is off, that's another good time to get at the IAC. $40 to $50 for each part. IMRC's at 60K is kinda hard for me to believe but I guess it's possible. Seafoam might help it out too.

what area TPS. and IAC? intake air something?!?! LOL sorry

oh, and i broke my throttle body thats why it was replaced.
 
You know that thing on the back of the throttle body with two phillips head screws in it? That's the TPS. Just to the left of that with a plug up near the top and bolted into the manifold right next to the throttle body is the IAC. It's held in with two bolts and has a small gasket. I really think it's one of the two.

The MAF (Mass Air Flow) needs to be opened up at the air box and pulled out and cleaned with MAF cleaner that can be found at AZ and it's made by CRC in a red can.
 
ok. ill go and pick up a IAC, will i have to take the throttle body off again? LOL ill get some of that cleaner first, that TB is a bitch to get to LOL.

The throttle body is 1st grade to remove lol. Wait till you go after the IAC. First time IAC swaps are a bitch. If all you're doing is an IAC swap, you don't have to remove the TB. If you are going to do the TPS on the back of the TB, you'll have to.

For the MAF, just look for the red can or ask them to point it out. It sets among 20,000 other cans and can be hard to find but it has CRC on the front and is made to clean the MAF with. It leaves "no residue" and dries almost instantly. Clean the hell out of it, give it a few min to make sure it's dry and then put the air box back together. The two bottom screw/bolts of the box are kinda hard to deal with but you'll make it.
 
Go to your local sears automotive for $80 they will do a three step fuel injection cleaning...it made a huge difference on my car and it increased my gas mileage by 1 MPG on a the highway...even though the car has low mileage it probably wasn't driven much...with it sitting idle the gas will gum up the inside of everything...I would do this in addition to what everyone else is saying...the next thing I am considering is going to screamin demon coil packs...some people will say it is a waste but if I recall one of the most respected members of this forum has them on his car.

I have them, but I'm surely not the guy you are talking about.
 
They are fine. Don't really know if they are worth the dough. I bought mine off a guy(cheap) that never got to install them on his cobra. A old lady made his car a hood ornament on her Roadmaster. I will tell you the livewires suck.
