i am doing alot of powdercoating under the hood in the next few weeks and one of the things i am doing is having my intake powdered gloss black, but the intake isnt rough like stock, its all smooth, i even ported the top half of the intake very heavily, i dont know if it will make a difference but it looks nasty! i have an 03-04 cobra throttle body that i have all set ready to go. i painted it with high temp engine enamel gloss black so it matches the intake once its on. here is the throttle body, i'll update this as things get done.

Nice. cant wait to see it on the mark.

you still doing the head light restoration?

do you mean do i still restore them, or am i doing a restoration to my headlights?
my engine bay is gonna look nothing like a stock engine bay, i cannot wait to get this all done, i am dropping off the valve covers this week to get them stripped to bare metal, then those, and the intake and some other stuff is off to powder. i'm having DPS powercoating in Clearwater do all the work, Art is the owner and the guy is the most mellow guy i have ever met, such a cool guy.

im sure no one would agree with me. but i think ya should powercoat those rims black like that too.

no his car is super sexy on chrome leave it alone. the black chrome might look nice. but if it aint broke dont fix it

Jamie it is good to see you working on your baby rather than someone elses pos for a change. that stealth engine bay will look awesome!!!!

i mean do you still offer the service?

i have a gen 1 and like we all know, going down a road with no lights on it. (FXCO parkway) i cant see :q:q:q:q.

Jamie, get that car all nice for me so I can make you an offer you CAN'T refuse on it:D just bust'n em! I always liked the "stealthy" look. No, the saleens looks great in chrome...breaks it up a bit.

you better make a large offer damien!!!! i am taking a break from headlights and alot of other stuff so i can spend some time with my family and get some stuff that i want to do, done. i am tired of putting my stuff off for everyone else so i am taking a long needed break.

i have a new diff coming hopefully be here by the end of the week, another track loc rear with 4:30's and my current track loc 3:73 diff is going into diesel dan's mark. i still have a drastic change that is happening to the car as soon as rich gets off his ass!!! then i am off to the junk yard for the pontiac bumper and i'll have to light a fire under lee's ass to get him down here for a weekend so we can duplicate his bumper onto my car, good thing is i have more bumpers so i wont cut mine in half to do it! when i do my rear diff swap i will also be fabricating some rear frame to irs cradle brackets at work to match the ones i already have in the front, just to stiffen the car up a little more too. having the keys to a metal shop and welders has its benefits!

You know Jamie, on-line forums we BS alot, and we act sometimes like children. But it takes a real man to stand up and admit when change is needed and knowing I need to be the first to do so. I just celebrated my 17th yr anniversary last Dec. And it is a up/down hill battle, and I would not trade a moment of it weather it was uphill or a down hill ride. I applaud you for taking the necessary steps to mend what is broken. If it were not for my many, many deployments and away from my wife at a yr or more at a time over my 14 yr military career before I was injured in the war I do not know if we would of been strong enough to handle all the uphill travels. But I honestly think that with me gone for long stints at a time, it made us even stronger as a husband and wife. Anyway, before I get carried away, all I can say is do what you have to to ensure that family first, this site will always be here and you already took the hardest step, knowing I need to change. Prayers and Blessings to you and your family.

+1 Couldn't have put it better myself. Do what you gotta do and take care of the family first or you want have one.

I just did the exact same thing last weekend. Painted the iac black as well.
