here is a picture. granted its a crap picture however, in the picture you can make out a clip in the rear. what does it go too? anyone know ? it is located in the right hand back area of the trunk. my guess is it had something to maybe do with the factory amp and jbl sound system.

also im having some weird events with my mark. it seams like after it sits a while the entire car shuts down. the lights all shut off but more importantly whats driving me crazy is the keypad becomes unusable. Normaly doesnt matter what time of day or night if i go out and hit the keypad it lights up and unlocks the doors for me. now the only time it works is if i recently have shut off the car or i have pressed the door lock/unlock on the remote. then it will come alive again. i also noticed that if i leave the car sit for a good while. if i attempt to turn on the overhead lights via the switch that they do not turn on. however again if i started the car or use the remote to arm disarm or any event that will so call wake the car up. then the switches on the overhead lights work proper again. is this a sign of something major breaking down. or maybe just a simple part starting to cry out for replacement ?

first of all resize the picture it looks like a :q:q:q:qing picture of the milky way from a dirty sattelite lense. i cant make out a damn thing

I dont think its going to matter if its re-sized or not. the picture was taken in the dark and i had to use a digital zoon to get to it. ill see if i cant get a better picture of it today.

in the mean time. reclick the link its been re-sized

If this is in the top right side of the trunk, that wire plug should be alot longer, maybe another ft or two, it maybe wrapped up in there. But it looks to be the amp plug, and if it is, there should also be another plug not being used also if the factory system is not being utilized. But that looks as one of the amp plugs.

thats what i thought as well. it was the amp plug. the other wiring must of come out with i ripped down the rack. i also have another plug like it where the cd changer was. i took it out today to seal the trunk with sound proofing. thanks for confirming this for me.. any one have any ideas on the weird issue im having with the key pad and the lights. im hoping its not also kicking off the factory alarm also.

My 95 does the same thing sometimes after it has been setting for a few hours or over night. I can go to the keypad and push it and no lights. I can pull up on the door handle and no interior lights. I try both sides and no lights but if I take the remote and hit unlock, I get the interior lights. I keep it in the garage and the only reason I need or have needed the keypad is if I would be out in the garage without my keys and wanted something out of the car. I have a habit of locking it, even inside the garage.

It can set for a while and if it is unlocked, I can open up the door completely and no interior lights will come on. This is not all the time but it's happening a lot more often now. If driving or it has only been parked for about an hour, everything is still alive but if it's dead, I would be locked out of the car if my keys ever (not likely) got locked inside. I have WD-40'd the latches and push pins and that didn't fix anything. I don't ever lose stereo memory or clock memory but as for interior lights and keypad, it's dead.

yep. thats pretty much the same ish im dealing with. Id like to find out what it is and fix it. I do tend to leave my keys in the car on purpose relying on the keypad. as of late i have not been able to do that. I guess im also curious as to why its doing and thats the reason why i wanna fix it too.

Mine has been setting since Friday morning and I went to take my 8 year old to school and when I opened the door, I had interior lights lol. I don't know why it does it sometimes and then other times, it won't do it.
