The guy that purchased Marvin's Mark VIII had no idea what he was getting into & apparently can't get rid of the car. He told Marvin that he sucked at selling cars & practically gave it away @ $2,800 & as per Marvin, he told him that he would make almost double that money on the car when selling it. To the naked eye the car does look very clean & VERY nice but unfortunately it's got rust underneath the doors, the underside of the car & even the engine bay. Poor guy wants $3,500 for it! If it wasn't for the rust, I'd understand the price as Marvin did pour his sweat into it!

what a p.o.s advertising it as mint condition, the owner not the car, i have never seen cars roll through barrett jackson with rust on them, but they call those cars mint? something i am missing?

Right? I wish I knew someone really close to me to go heckle the guy! It's a shame Marvin bought the car @ night. I have a feeling if he would've bought a different Mark he would still have it. The rust is what really turned him off!

Is the rust so bad that no one is willing to fix it? I have seen some really crusty Mark's fixed on other boards. As long as it is not rusted through it should be able to be fixed.

Yeah it's bad & the car has about 150k on it already. I think the issue here is the price considering the rust. He wants to stick it to someone without letting them know about the rust!

for that price no way, for 1000 bucks sure its worth fixing the rust, to fix it and repaint the whole car its gonna cost 2500 alone.

Didn't know the miles. Yeah, that sucks. I have been fixing the rust issues with mine, but it has 88K on it now and has been worth it.

DITTO! The backseat skins are from Jamie, he got those wheels on ebay, he got some sweet Ford Motorsports parts for the engine bay, cant remember what it was now though, installed pillar gauge pods & also painted the calipers red & branded them with the COBRA logo.

It seems like i have bad luck with Marks and thats why ive decided to stay away from them. This car was perfect except for the really bad rust I mean Alex knows how bad it was he saw it when he helped me sensor lower it. The oil was coming thru the oil pan, and rockers had holes thru them in which i had to patch them up and repaint them. The bottom of the doors were falling apart and bottom of the car was just....i dont even want to remember it. I tried to save it but thinking about the money i had to spend just didnt equal to how much the car was worth with 150k on the clock. I bought the car for 2,500 and resold it to this idiot that told me that I sucked at selling cars for 2,700. The car was a beauty the interior was clean and it drove like a dream but the rust just killed it. I know Ive got to stop living in the past and face the future but I really dont think that ill be able to find a Mark like my first one. Sorry for the long speech guys, and I wonder will this idiot ever sell it? The buyer's got to be a bigger idiot than the seller. Lets see what happens. Alex you should pay him a visit....lol!!!!

Alex you should pay him a visit....lol!!!!

Don't tempt me... Last time I called him & gave him sh!t about it he was in his apartment looking down where the car was parked & saw me pulled up behind his car so he knows my truck. However he doesn't know my wife's Jeep. HEE, HEE, HEE!:D I should go see him, seem interested then start noticing all the rusted carnage & offer him $800.00 & swap the parts from that car to my(Rich's) 97! HMMMMMM!!!!

When are we going??

its got the nice coil covers, the wheels, dynomax bullets and a set of brand new coils, and the interior was perfect you can swap the whole thing out. Oh and both seat motors are brand new. I replaced them myself. Plus both HIDs work, and the rear neon has a brand new ballast from glitch....oh and brand new A/C lines.

I'm glad mine is nowhere near that bad.

it was so bad that i coulnt take off the bolts that hold the air silenser and ended up having to leave it on, thats how bad the rust was.
