Lincoln LS Angel Eye Group Buy

I do exactly the same thing, and have never paid a penny of interest on my credit card. I make about the same amount of money off of it each year as you do, and have had to do a charge back once or twice that otherwise would have left me screwed out of the money. A lot of folks just cannot get their head around it, or refuse to believe that a little bit of discipline can end up working in their favor.

I do get it. Actually never looked at the credit card that way. Probably works well for little purchases. Some places won't take rewards type cards for larger purchases.

I've never run across that scenario, Pete. Not saying that it doesn't happen - just that I've never had that experience. Actually, that's where some of the benefit can really come into play with using a Rewards-based CC (or DC for that matter). Granted, normally your big-dollar purchases are only going to come in at 1 or 2% instead of 3 - 5% for things like gas, restaurants, groceries, but you'd be amazed at how much those big-dollar purchases contribute to the cash you end up getting back.

Fast, I know that some of the banks are starting to put rewards options on their DC's. From my initial research (a little while ago), the rewards/payback weren't quite as good as the major CC companies out there. I go through a credit union for my banking accounts as well, and they put a rewards program on the debit card that was associated with my checking account. Their rewards program only provided a 1% cash back, where my Chase CC rewards offers 3% on everything with 5% on gas/groceries/restaurants.

Hopefully your DC rewards are better.

I hope that my statement did not come across as a shot at you or anyone here specifically...that was not the intent. It sounds like you have found what works best for you, and that is what everyone should be doing. There would be a lot less bankruptcy and foreclosure that way. I was speaking more towards the folks that just cannot see any way to be disciplined with their finances.

Do you know where the reward cash comes from? higher interest rates the companies charge the vendor. At least in the cases I've seen. My day job is part owner of a retail kitchen design/sales showroom. We don't take any of those rewards based cards because of the extra 1-2% the CC company takes out of the bottom dollar. 2% on a 30,000 swipe is quite a bit out of my pocket.

American Express and Discover are the worst for charging a higher percentage to the vendor. We only take visa/mastercard.

Not saying it's bad for the consumer. But businesses can refuse them. I haven't seen many that refuse them, but I haven't been into many other larger ticket situations with a credit card.

No offense was taken. I had a bad day yesterday. Then got home and had (I think) 3 Ultimat martini's. I was rather offensive in some of my posts last night. Apologies to TDUB in particular.

LOL

Pete, I don't honestly know where the cashback really comes from. I thought that businesses had to pay that percentage from ANY credit card transaction, however, you raise a good question that maybe it's a higher amount or percentage from taking a rewards-based CC transaction.

I'll try to do some research on that (you got me curious). Can't guarantee that I'll find anything substantial, but if I do then we may all learn something.

The 2 unbanded ones on the right I'm really excited to try. Tatuaje verocu 5.

Pektel ever smoked a garcia vega?

They are machined but taste good.

If anyone is interested in the multi-colored ones they will be $250 and we only need 5 people. This can be 5 people already on the list for the normal one as long as we get 5. Any takers?
