Found this on CL

Just got to say the convertible Mark is cool but still think they look better the way the factory made them

$14K......lmao yeah ok.

The car would sell quicker if the leather was restored, the center console wasnt coming apart
and they used a better camera with someone who knows how to take proper pictures.

That car has been for sale forever. He tried posting it on here before and I think a lot of people told him he will never get that price.

So is this guy insane or a scammer, multiple listings in different states on craigs list. For one, that price is ridiculous, I find not one Mark series to be a collector. For two, he really thinks someone is going to travel distance to come see it. If it is for real, he needs to put it on E-Bay and cross his fingers that he would be lucky to get 6k or there about for it in my eyes. What care would he have to who buys it, enthusiasts only my ass, more like a sucker in other words.

i read the ad again and i cant find where the car is.
seattle? denver? lol. right...
oh. his hemmings ad says Syosset, New York.

It's a pretty rare car, if I were in the market I probably would do some traveling. And if I were selling it, it wouldn't hurt to post it in multiple locations. Actually I'd love to have it, just not for $14k, I've always wanted a convertible (though I'm torn between buying a 70s Eldorado or removing the roof from my 75 Deville.)

I'm kinda regretting not buying k9's 'vert when it was up for sale.

this car is becoming almost as bad as, shall i say..............

Donald Zeilstra?? 45 k rofl!

Ha Ha Ha!

This dope want 11K for this eye sore.

After riding in Chris' I wouldn't buy one... It's cool in a way... but not the Mark I would want to own.

Rare may be the proper word to best describe this car. And I respect your desire to want one. But to say it is a collector is far left from the truth in my mind.

When someone references the word collector, first thing that comes to mind would be for instance, 60-70 era Mustangs, Camaro's, T/A's, Cuda, Charger, and along those lines, or a 20-50's cruiser or custom.

Do not get me wrong, I love Lincoln's of all sorts, and have owed many in my time, along with other makes and models from different generations. But like I said for a Mark series to be referenced as a collector is way out field, especially with the production number of each Lincoln made since the early 80's, would diffinately disallow a collector theory to be used.

Everyone on here has a Lincoln or Caddy, and each has their own signature if you will with upgrades and add-ons, but does that change the fact that it should be considered a classic or a collector, no, just unique and one off on some instances.

Rare is the word to be used for this guys description in the ad.
