trans shift kit

Just ordered the springs and pistons along with a deep pan from max and ordered the Baumann valve body recalibration kit (thanks to slowmkviii for the recommendation):D
The mark should be happy for a while or at least till I get the gears installed:cool:

Why not do the J-mod? isnt this effectivly the same thing? Leave the lower purple 1-2 spring out and take out the 2-3 spring and j-mod the plate, update the accumulators while your at it?

my 2cents..

I cheated, I paid for the whole thing as a kit which included all gaskets, accumulators, filter and Springs.

This included more than just the valve body it has other valves in the valve body as well

I'm going to be modding my trans as soon as the weather gets warmer. That and I will need a trans fluid change by then so I might as well do it all at once since I'll have the pan down anyway.

Just trying to decide J-mod or go one step further

these cars should have come with at least a 3.73 gear and a 3200 stall from the factory...if you are going to do it do it right or as the saying goes "break it bad and fix it good."

No doubt about it, I put a 4:10 Track Loc in my 96' and that alone made it a ton better. However seeing as this car is pulling DD status a converter isn't gonna be the near future :(

Or at least till I have my WRX back on the road so I can have something to drive while I have the Mark apart.

I've used the Baumann kit on my car since 2005 or 2005. I like it a lot. I have it set to stage 5. It's very firm at low speeds, but at WOT, it BANGS. It's great. Wasn't super-expensive either.
