Joey, please do something about this fuggin ad. :mad:

I keep the ads on on web sites like this cause sometimes I see something interesting and I know the site gets money for every time an ad is clicked. As of late I have gotten a new ad on the right for some card web site that freaked me out first time I heard it. Started hearing bongo drums and a monkey making noise. I thought it was some new virus and didnt know it was an ad since I had several windows open at once. Spent hours running cleaners and searches for viruses and came up empty. I just now saw what the ad was as the computer started to play the ad again.


Ads are part of life but ads that play sounds without permission or ads that jump up and take over the screen shouldnt be on here.


Do I need to start a petition? :lol:
 
If you're getting popup ads, you DEFINITELY have a virus or adware. I can't say for sure about ads with sound, as I've never seen one here. But no way should you be seeing popups.
 
Its not a pop up and its not a virus. The ad directly under LS concepts, the one that changes when you load the pages is the ad. Its for some e-card or something similar. It starts playing bongos and jungle sounds and has a "pause" and "mute" button.

Next time I see it I will screen shot it.

Seriously, I've never seen this ad you speak of, either.

It's not hard to write a malware ActiveX component and have it redirect traffic from one ad source to "their" source(s). Or, so I read in a programming pamphlet once.

As a matter of fact, it WAS all packed up and ready to go. But since you asked me again after I told you what I would do if you did... I'm going to send you a terrorist instead.

Wow, thats a big box. Could prolly fit a terrorist in there too.

Now I gotta figure out who I wanna use the terrorist on to blow up. So many people....... maybe I can get them in the same spot. :lol:
 
I tried to find a smaller box, as you well know.

But in the end... you're paying for the shipping anyways, so I decided to stop wasting gasoline what with all the "running around" all over the place to try to find you a smaller box.

The box was pretty big for that fan, but it's just right for the terrorist you're now getting instead.
 
Laser, I've been getting that same ad as you for about 3 weeks now. Annoying as hell. You have to click mute to get rid of the sound.
 
I have had past problems with this site never seen or heard said ad. Please do get a screen shot of it.

Frog, put the fan in a refrigerator box and tape it down with Gorilla tape to the bottom of the box. :p

It would be funny just seeing him bring it (from an 18 wheeler) up to the house with a set of hand trucks. Have the whole inside lined in thin sheet metal so he would have to crawl in and get to it. We know he would try to cut the box with a box cutter. :eek: <---Bill....."It's not cutting"
 
I`m the last person anyone wants a gift or package from. Used to draw names for X-mas, if I got your name you were getting money,..........welded into a small cube made of 1/4 plate. I`m an a**hole.
 
I got that ad as well a couple days ago, rather annoying... IIRC it's from tribalfusion.com, so if you have adblock, block anything from that site.
