Caliper gave me a good 80hp!

i am not worried about breaking it, i'm worried about blowing the car all over the road and getting arrested. i had many tickets in my life and after losing my license for a year and half when i was 21 you tend to grow up a little when you are on the street! i have a very low point score on my insurance and paying insurance on 2 lincolns i would like to keep it low! it took me a long time to get it back to where it is, 12 years exactly!

why do i need a whipple, you think a blower is the only thing that will make a mark VIII crazy to drive, with the trac loc, the gears, the instant throttle my car has, and all the crap thats been done to it, my car very easily goes all over the road with no effort, i only know because i have done it a few times already and although its fun its also scary trying to keep a 4000 lb sled straight.
 
I dunno man, I'm just saying. I have the same gears and a TL, at least an extra 80hp if I flip the switch, and I don't have that much of an issue with keeping it straight.

you have some problems if you cant keep a 350hp car planted or am i mistaken, do you have more power than that
 
i can keep the :q:q:q:qing car straight, i'm just saying when i want it to, its very easy to blow the car all over the road, specially when it shifts into second gear jesus does anyone understand anything. the car can be an animal on the street, hot greasy florida roads, soft tires, very fast winding motor, its very easy to break my car loose, cars dont need blowers to break loose.

and the whole point being, i have driven over 1600 mark VIII's, i have also driven derriks car, its the same exact car as all the other stock 97 and 98 mark VIII's, i would never say my car would blow his away if i had never driven his car, i have, and there is no remote shot on earth unless my car explodes off the line that his car will even keep with mine, no stock mark VIII is gonna stay with it, a modded mark yes, my car is modded quite a bit, so unless another mark is close or equally modded its not gonna stay with me, if my car was stock then it would be equal to derrik's car, you can tree me all you want at the track i will still be first across the finish line, my car is almost out of second gear before your car even shifts into second! if you want an even race i'll take my 93 to the track, that would be a fair race for you.

you said you have never fully depressed the gas and nobody but derick says he can beat you. I am fairly sure you would kill his car but
you are the one who says that you cant floor it if there is such a traction problem with a whole 350 hp at the crank then the car is not set up right
or you mad a very bad choice in tires
I mean think about what you are saying a 14sec car is all over the road ha
I also assume you have driven faster cars that have more traction and that would be a clue you have a problem with your car

But I may be wrong I have not driven in Florida maybe your roads are that bad that they cant Handel 275hp at the wheels

I don't think my car is faster, I was just teasing you. I just want to run them for fun. I said "I" may beat you, but my car will not. Meaning If I were to tree you and win, it would be because I beat you, not because my car was faster.

I've been in your car when you got on it a bit Jamie, it was awesome how you could feel that sucker bite going into second!:eek:
 
The rubber brake lines will degradate over time and the interior of the lines will soften. Then a small piece will peel away from the brake lining. It will act as a gate. When you apply the brake, the pressure will force the gate up against the brake lining. Once you release the brake and the pressure, this flap will collapse and cause a dam in the flexible rubber brake tubing, preventing the pressure from dissipating normally. Eventually the pressure will normalize but repeated breaking will hold the pad on the rotor for extended periods of time thus reducing pad life and eventually rotor wear and failure.
