May sound odd, but in a year and a half, today was the first time I actually hammered the accelerator.

Yowsa...

Certainly peeks my interest in getting a few more hp out of the engine, although clearly I will hardly ever use it.

And it also confirmed for me that these goddam mother:q:q:q:qing piece of :q:q:q:q coilsprings on this car are about the most useless pieces of crap that one could add to it. The entire front end started bouncing around like a super ball being hit by a tennis racket.......They were cheap, they keep me on the road, and I don't have to worry about seeing that air ride message for a year or three, but holy crap they suck.

HAHAHA! I think you are expressing the "floating" I was complaining about. Did it feel like you were driving on ice even though the roads were dry?

Your poor car wants to stretch her legs more often...don't deny her that pleasure :D

Yeah, exactly.

Plus, the back springs squeak like rats so I have to turn up the radio to drown them out.

I'm guessing the braces will tighten the front end up some, and keep this bouncing to a minimum. But I'm telling ya, I cannot wait until I can put the air suspension back on.

Ive had no problems out of my lowered coils in 5 years. My Mark 8 rides way better than any other car ive ever owned, i just wish it handled like my Mustang did.

I only floor mine once a day if that now that I have the blower.... half throttle is like full throttle used to be.

And to think I thought that the gas pedal was just an on off
Switch now I find out there is a whole range of positions

i have no prob's w/ my lowererd kit minus the rear end being abit bouncey over bumps. doesn't help that i have sh itty shocks. I'll never buy cheap shocks again...they barely have 3k on them.

Makes me wonder about the quality control of these things. Half the folks report no problems, half the folks say they get that bounce.

I can tell you mine is so bad my daughter (13) laughs at my car...

Mine only gets bouncy at...... well it doesnt get bouncy. Ive only had it to 140 though.

i got my car running about a week ago and the verry first thing i did was pulled it into the street and stomped it. and i still hadent worked all the bugs out but it did leave a white cloud behind me and put a smile on my face

try replacing the strutt rod bushings and check the torque on the struttrod bolt. also pm me and i will sell you the replacement supressors for the rear. i have a set that i bought but my springs are diffrent they are not flat on the ends.

My dam AA spring strut suck donky balls I had to return my front spring and strut, car bounced bad. Got replacement got a bit stiffer a year later back to being bouncy. Either thinking the back shock are bad or the spring strut suck and time to replace with some Tbird one or go back to good O air bags. What is flooring it my needle only read 70 mph.

1. front sway bar links, OEM ford ones...........
2. poly front sway bar bushings, 1 1/16th............

bouncing will be gone..............

oh and some Vogtland springs with Koni shocks wouldnt hurt............ :p

Where the pic with the mach one front spoiler shuryou. I had one on my 9o mustang coupe looked sweet on the coupe. I've seen one on a mark but didn't look good.

Not for nothing, but several times, maybe more like over 30 times i've exited a highway and took a 180 degree turn with some newer jap car/german car much NEWER then mine with HIDS tailing my azz and i leave them IN THE DUST!!!

This car handles VERY GOOD for a 1996 "luxury sport coupe". I might hear some tire squeal but I fully complete the turn at around 40mph and the car behind me brakes lol because either they're scared or their car cannot hold up to 14 year old technology.

That's only ONE of the reasons I still drive a Mark 8 EVERYDAY!!

Heh... there's a 'flyover' type bridge here from I25 to I40 that makes a long, sweeping 140* or so turn. Not once in my driving career has someone passed me on it when I'm in a somewhat performance oriented vehicle. Believe it or not the only car to have hung with me was some 70s Buick... There have been numerous cars that could've passed me, but for the most part people are simply scared of turns.
