well this morning after only 4 hours sleep last night i took the 93 to the shop and ripped out the lowered conversion. ever since i gave the car to my wife she has been complaining that its way to low for her and she keeps hitting the car off things. i admit, it was super low, but i knew how to manuever over things like speed bumps and what not. she couldnt grasp it!! so i installed a slightly used motorcraft conversion into it today. wow lol what a goofy looking car, i am so used to looking at it lowered, and my 97 is a full 2 inches lower, and most of you on here are lowered too, so after putting the kit into my 93 and setting it back down on the shop floor i laughed my balls off!! what a stupid looking thing it is now. i called my wife and told her that i made an appointment for it tuesday to finally get it alligned, and that i was bringing it back home for her and grabbing my 97 to go back to the shop, i said do you have anywhere to go later, and she said yeah why, i said if you want you can probably take it out in the woods later and go wheelin with it. when she saw it she couldnt believe its supposed to look like it does lol! its drastic from being as low as it was. i thought maybe it was a little too high until derrik ( ripped camel ) stopped by today and his 97 is the same with a standard conversion, so its just been a long time since i have seen a mark at normal height!! the thing rides like a dream though now, the lowered kit was very harsh in it, all the suspension is brand new in it, i just did all of it so now it rides like it should, she loves it, i think it looks retarded but hey, what do i care its hers, and now i wont have to replace anything from getting torn off!! its pitch black out, i'll post a before and after pic tomorrow so you guys can laugh!! talk about 4x4!

:q:q:q:q air ride, if you took a ride in my 97 you would go home and tear the air ride right out of yours.

This is not the first time I have done that, but mainly in mustangs. I have lowered probably a 100 of them and raised them 50% of them within 3 years. I personally did it, man did it look good but to what extent, I didn't want to drive it as much and was always afraid of reuining something, I now how coilovers and it is adjustable to my liking now. Does anyone make adjustable coilovers for marks???

Do you wanna sell that lowered kit Jamie?

sorry the kit is spoken for, i made a trade with a guy, who bought what he told was a lowered kit, and its not a lowered kit, he asked about what i was gonna do with mine, i said i was gonna sell it, so we traded straight up!

to bad they dont sell the lowered kit anymore. i suppose you could either buy a used kit or cut the springs...glad i got mine in time.

Ya, I got a buddy that just picked up a black on black 95 lsc in great shape except for the air ride. He wants springs but he wants it lowered. I told him we could use t-bird parts but I can only lower it about an inch via trimming the rear springs & making new lower front strut holes. But a lowered conversion kit can be remedied quite a bit with rubber spring spacers. They stiffen up the front springs pretty good for 10 bucks.

I saw it yesterday...it looked funny as hell sitting next to Jamie's car. I rode in both...man Jamie's car rode nice!
