apperently my oil pan is needing to be replaced...the ford dealer here in ontario where i live can't find one..any suggestions and how hard is it to replace..is there a site that will show me

talk to jamie97lsc, i'm sure he has some oil pans lying around for a good price

It is a pretty hard deal to do, support the engine across the strut towers, put the car in the air, remove the lower strut mounts, unbolt the power steering lines and steering joint remove the 8 sub frame bolts and engine mounts and drop the sub frame out, replace the pan and put it back together.

I know that Standard Auto Wreckers in Markham has a GenII on the stacks, maybe you can get the pan from them. They are online as well but the car is in the Upull section.

I was just at Standard 2 weeks ago and the Gen2 that I saw back in Dec/Jan was gone and I didn't see any other Mark's

I saw this one back in late Dec, early Jan:

Well I was there maybe 4 weeks ago I guess they crushed her.

I was going to head back this weekend or hope that it was still around for the $50.00 all you can carry parts day.

id unmount the upper strut mounts rather than the lower with a rust belt car and just pull the air lines. you can leave the ps lines connected to the rack just unbolt the holders, you gotta unbolt the steering column from the rack though. and before you ask those funny lookin bolts that hold the subframe in they are E-18 inverted torx, although some say :shifty:jamie:shifty: lol a 9/16 6 soint socket will do
