I've seen the same 96 with temp tags at two different thrift stores, the first time I saw it I noticed that it seemed pretty clean but was missing two center caps. Saw it again today at another place closer to my house. I put two center caps in a box with a piece of paper pointing to this site, I put the box on his windshield.

You should've checked for the owner, what if it's some 80 year old lady that has no idea how to use a computer? lol... Listen, regardless, whether they end up finding out who did it or not, it's a very nice thing to do. Not too many ppl do that now-a-days. What would suck is if they thought it wasn't safe to take the box home & they tossed it right there.

Nice, ive tryed to help people before like that and they didnt care much for it.

This happened to me once, it hurt but I've also had ppl thank me eternally for helping out.
In 1992 during Hurricane Andrew, my parents, grandparents cooked food & we took it down to the most affected area in a building with senior citizens. We felt soooooo amazingly great by doing so. Good deeds don't go unseen. ;)

I met a guy at the wal-mart gas station who had the usual air ride problems. His compresser wouldn't vent & he needed new front bags. I told him I could get the rear of his car down if he'd be willing to spend a few minutes in my driveway.
I "vented" his rear bags for him. He then asked me about his intermittent heater problems. I fixed his blower plug with some pliers & put some fishing line around his blend door arm with some handy weights at the bottom so he could have heat again. I told him that I couldn't permanantly fix his blend door because I hadn't done it to my own car yet, but after I had, that i'd fix his too. After I did this for him, he told me that he'd buff my headlights for me. He came back a few minutes later & made my headlights look brand spankin new.
It turns out that the guy lives on the street behind me.
Last week he showed up with a conversion kit & told me that a shop wanted $600 bucks to install it. I did it for $150 in his driveway. The guy runs a detailing biz @ his house & is gonna do mine for free when all of this snow stops. I think I made a friend for life.

i left the box open so they wouldnt be afraid of it, I don't think anybody would mess with it, if they can't figure out the computer atleast they have a better looking car now

Great Job .. hats off to you ... too often we just look at what we have and think what can I get for this and the top dollar ... instead of what can I do with this.

You made a very wise choice and no matter what happens from it your effort made a positive mark with this action.

Personally this is how we should take care of each other on this site. If we have something that could help out another member we shouldn't look at how much can I get for this but what can I do to help out our fellow LvC members. I'm not saying that we should just give everything away but we should make it so that we can help out the membership when we can.
