What are you doing to your car by spring?

I just won and paid for a set of Richmond 4.10 gears on fleabay. I have every big item I need except for the converter which I will order around mid month. I hope to get a baseline at Cecil in March if it will ever stop snowing by then. I still need a few odds and ends for the rear, but overall I am doing this very nicely on a budget.

Complete front suspension
jmod the 98 trans and a Lonnie Doll beefed up Marauder TC
X pipe true dual w/Super Coupe Performance mufflers
LSC bumper covers and trim
dent and scratch repair

Just waiting on my Obama dollars :)

If this new job pans out the way I believe it will (have to triple check my pay rate as I seem to black out each time we talk about it), I'll have an extra $1000 a month just for mods.

Soooo....if things go the way I think I "heard" they will..

Mods:
Rebuilt front end (upper/lower CA's, bags)
Powder coat valve covers
Conical filter w/ heat shield
Dyno Tune
4.10's with Eaton

....for the first round. Then plan on saving for the 6 speed swap. And somewhere in there I plan on modding my WJ as well. That will be getting a new 4" lift, new tires, headlights, roof rack, offroad lights, and a posi in the rear.

I'm a single divorced dad, so i get screwed every year. I take my own vasoline now

Oh I get a dose of that too. My daughter moved back in with her mother when her grandmother was dying. Thankfully she is nearly 15 now.

Custom TB neck for this S197 twin 55mm TB Ive had for a year
EGR delete, screw CELs
New wheels and tires
Go to the track
Get a real tune, none of that canned generic BS
Go back to the track
LT's and a re-tune
Track
Tur.. Sorry got excited there. Ive decided that I probably wont go with a power adder, but only if I manage some kind of 13 during the first track trip. Ive have quite a few parts just in case tho. That mod bug is a betch during that season.

That sounds like an ambitious weekend but one that I might take you up on. Just gotta finish my a couple more rooms in my house before I can touch the car without someone getting upset... :(

Hell He will do it, just ask me how I know....just have enough food ready.
Doesn't matter what kind of food, I don't think it even needs to be cooked.
And watch your fingers.

Going to put in a sound system, glitch ballast , new compressor maybe a spider valve, put wider tires on my 18s.

Maybe re-do the ext. the drone of the straight pipes is getting to me.
Rattles the rear view so you can't see, and its rattling the dam interior trim loose.
Not to mention it wakes up the whole house when I leave at 5 am

Well I guess I need Spring to wait a little longer cause all my Spring mods are almost done!
Brakes are completed
SCT is in and tweaked
ASHAM should be here next week
New front tires are now on
Geno should have my caps out this week
Dents gone
New bumper is installed

Only have the detail, gears and sway bar left. Since I need another rental the gears will prolly wait a month till they get done. The sway bar is also delayed untill I put in new bushings and ball joints.

Someone moved me from Virginia to Alaska and did not tell me:runaway: :runaway: :runaway:

... Winter Storm Watch in effect from Friday morning through
Saturday evening...

The National Weather Service in Sterling Virginia has issued a
Winter Storm Watch... which is in effect from Friday morning
through Saturday evening.

* Precipitation type... snow.

* Accumulations... this storm is likely to produce 12 or more
inches of snow in the watch area... with a good chance for
localized amounts over 20 inches.

* Timing... snow is expected to begin late morning
Friday... continuing through Saturday evening.

* Temperatures... highs in the lower to mid 30s Friday. Friday
night and Saturday... temperatures will be 25 to 30 degrees.

* Winds... east 5 to 10 mph Friday and Friday night... becoming
north 10 to 20 mph Saturday.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

This storm has the potential to be similar to the December 19th storm.
Plan for substantial disruptions to travel Friday afternoon through the
weekend.

...having second thoughts on what to do with all this extra money I'll be getting from the new job. Really thinking about fixing the few things wrong with the Mark and turning it for a profit, and saving for something much faster.

The 94 is getting....

18" 03 Cobra replicas
Front and rear Cobra Brakes
99 C Headed Cobra motor
Complete Gen2 Interior with a keyless ignition system and a big red button for the starter in the dash where the key would go.

:)

Now they are calling for16 to 24 inches. Is this still the south?

The bike will get a 520 conversion, paint, maybe different subframe and tail. Mk 8 will get some suspension braces or bigger sway bars, maybe bigger brakes, possible little mod for motor ( chip, underdrive pully, lighting MAF, electric water pump, ) if the job I'm waiting for comes thru possibly p&p the head and cams.

4.10's
eaton truetrac
lpw girdle
dynotech 4" shaft
asham8 installed
hook up pillar guages
front seat skins

in the next few weeks that will all be done

then it's time to shop for a stall converter and a vortech...

Can't wait

Well Spring is here I guess and I am not quite done. Still need to order the exhaust and sway bar but everything else is pretty much done. My ASHAM8 controll bezel should be done this week so I should be able to install it this weekend. :)

Strut Conversion.

Pulling every part that is bolted on to the parts car off, then having it hauled out of my second garage bay.

Cleaning and repainting said parts.

repainting the entire car same color(ivory).
color matching rim inserts.
kooks headers.
lms mufflers, with magnaflow cross over.
kyb rear shocks.
quilted headliner and door panel inserts.
chrome mesh grill.

Install 10.2mm wires and tokikos that Laser ordered for me, install k member, oil filter housing gasket, intake manifold gaskets, painted intake tube and probably a new TPS if it's still misfiring, power steering hose and both heater core houses and burp the system... I'm really tired of buying a bottle of oil, ps fluid, and coolant every week

Decided to pull my Piece-O-Crap out of the shop and dust it off, had this junk for a year and have driven it like, maybe 1000 miles if that.

So I figured I should probably drive it around, it'll probably get better gas mileage than my truck.
