Ok, the inside rear view mirror is rattling like crazy, and driving me insane. Is there any way to tighten up the mirror?

When you find that answer, let me know too. My stereo beats mine down and when I look up, all I see is the console. Thought about super gluing it in place for me only. I'm the only one allowed to drive my car anyway.:D

The super glue has crossed my mind, too. :D Mine doesn't move very much, but make a very annoying rattle.

I have an extra mirror but it has a hole on the back side corner of it. It's tight though and it don't rattle. Not sure how the hole got in it. I'll send it to you if you want it. Also, the headlights you asked about are $100 for the pair +$10 shipping. The passenger side low beam does have some chrome burn in it but the other one looks good inside. Outside lenses are clear on both if you want them too.

I'll post pics of them in the for sale section but you have first dibs on them because you asked me months ago about them and you bought 1/2 of the 93 parts anyway. Maybe Jamie will do one headlight for you and only the low beam slot for a good price. The high beams on both are perfect.

What I did to correct this was to completely remove the mirror, pop off the mirror from the ball and socket bracket thing, and put a piece of very small rubber inside the socket area. i used a piece of bad tire inner-tube, and reinstall the mirror onto the ball and socket, the reinstalled the mirror in the car.

Make sure that you take the mirror out of the car completely and not try to do it with it installed. I learned this the hard way and when i tried to push it back on I cracked the windshield.

Good idea about the rubber piece. Cracking the windshield woulda pissed me off.

Im just glad I had no deductible for glass at the time. I somehow even got the insurance to pay for a new mirror too, I think I still have it in the garage in the box somewhere :)

Well, in that case, that woulda made my day then lol. New glass for trying to beat a mirror back into it's socket and a new mirror too. Good job. :D

Thanks, Terry. I will let Chuck know about the headlights and one of us will let you know.

Sounds good and if you don't want them, no big deal because they aren't mine anyway. I tried to talk him down but he said they worth that much. I'll get the pics in there inna lil bit and describe them the best I can.

Funny, this was a question I always had but never asked. My button sometimes vibrates on the mirrow but a piece of paper fixed that. But it does get blurry from the vibration and I wondered how to tighten it up. Now I have a nother project for this weekend, thanks. :D
