I bought this car back in 2004 for a hefty price, it was a MINT black/black 96 base Mark VIII with 51,000 miles on it fully loaded. Now the paint has completley faded, it has some body damage, the leather is ripped on the driver side and the front suspension is done for. The rear air bags are leaking as well. The motor is still very strong and the transmission is in pretty good shape as well. The car has almost 130,000 miles and in this condition I don't think I would even get $1000 for it... I have 3 Mark VIII's, should I just donate this car and write it off?

Sounds like a car that should have been maintained instead of neglected. I could paint the entire car for probably less than $250, maybe $300. Don't know what kind of body work needs to be done. It's hard for anyone to say what they would do with it without seeing it. I do know one thing, I would never donate a Mark for any reason. I would try to bring it back to life but again, not seeing it, I don't know for sure what I'd do. I'm sure you have a family member that could use a car and just donate it to them if you really don't want it.

It being black on black is reason enough to save it. I have always found it best when burned out on a car to take a breath and a step back and re-evaluate at a later date.

Sounds like you should sell the other Mark VIII's, to protect them from you!:p
Mark VIII abuse is against the law, With the guilty party sentenced to driving only a "YUGO!, FOR LIFE!!" ;)
