My car is a 1993, just getting back into a very nice clean mark VIII and it had the coil conversion done already..just trying to find the suspension module so i can turn off the check air suspension warning, its driving me crazy, Thanks guys...

THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!!!!!!!! very much appreciated, i thought that was the module, i just wanted to make sure, i was told to cut a dark green wire with a light green tracer, but this is much easier, i will let you guys know when i get it unhooked and if im good to go.

fugging arnott....

lets disable the evo system on your car so you dont get a goofy air ride warning message.

let's just unplug the WHOLE damned thing, with no regard to the other systems or features on the car that will be disabled.

t00lbags...shakes head

Someone should add "arnott" to this websites content/bad word filter.

It would be better to actually cut the wire, contrary to what Arnott says, in their "how to hack up a mark 8" directions.

which wire the dark green/light green tracer? and is this the black or grey connector? I will just cut it back far enough that it could be repaired if necessary

i want to do this right and i only want to do it once, i dont want to disable anything except that fackin warning!! that is all, why would they tell you to unhook the entire thing!!??

rather than give you bad information regarding the specific wire, I wont speculate.

..need to research and determine which is the actual wire and do as you planned, make it a "reversible modification".

Good luck sir

well this is the plan, i wouldnt dare cut it somewhere it couldnt easily be repaired

What else does that module do?
I am stewpid when it comes to air ride.
My 93 came with coils.
My 94 had air but never had to mess with it.
Pweese Tommy make me smarter :)

Thank you Lincoln vs Cadillac, finally that damn annoying light is out once and for all....and if i ever decide to bite the bullet and repair air ride, the wire is a quick repair away.....but i doubt i will...Im still trying to find that ever elusive Gen 3..well i mean i need to find the one in the right condition...but this Gen 1 is a clean machine, and now i can dont have to hang my head in shame everytime i start the car or do a systems check...lol
thanks again guys

See my previous post. Never seen nor heard of a Gen 3. I have a gen 2.

sorry guys my bad...im used to tbirds, there is 3 gens of them in the MN12 chassis, my bad...but either way i want a 97-98 the most is what i meant

should have brought my flame suit

I have a gen 3...my Gen 2 + my Gen 1 = Gen 3
Oh! That makes sense now.

No harm, no foul. And thats not flaming, thats not even enough to be called a sun burn. :D

The EVO system is designed to vary the flow from the power steering pump as a function of vehicle speed and steering wheel rate of rotation, giving a form of variable assist. The system provides full power steering assist at low speed for light parking effort and minimum assist at high speed for good ''road feel'' and directional stability. Full assist is returned during evasive maneuvers.

Gotta love the Ford textbook explanations...

and when you delete/disable it, you get FULL assist ALL the time..which you dont want when your driving at freeway speeds..it makes for a very very sensitive steering wheel..and you wind up swerving down the road like some kind of drunk
