Well after months of trying and dozens of passes... I managed to run a 14.94 @ 94mph!!!!

I forgot to post when it happened because I was busy alllll weekend and yesterday, but the excitement is still just as fresh!!

My only mistake was that I red-lit, :( but that has no effect on the actual ET anyway so I dont care.

I even managed to pull a 2.1 60' time!! even on Toyo Proxy touring tires!!

I'll try to get a scan of my slip if nobody believes me, but it's for real and I am stoked.

The only thing done to my car is a good tune up, K&N panel filter with a drilled airbox, recent Jmod'd trans/converter by DirtyD0g, and straight-piped. So pretty much stock...

I am officially retiring the Lincoln from drag racing now. Well... atleast until a trac lok and a 3.73 gets put in!

I am only 1 tenth of a second slower than my friends '90 Mustang 5.0L coupe on street tires... he ran a best so far of a 14.84 @ 92mph. That sure says something about the power these big cars have.

Good job!! I have pretty much given up on taking my Mark to a track (they are all too far away). I know that I may catch hell on this but I am diggin' that 77 MustangII....

I'm real lucky here where I am in Ohio, there are 3 tracks within an hour/hour and a half from me...

Thanks for the compliment on the mustang II... I wish it was in as good of shape when my Grandma bought it back for me... had 36k on it 8 years ago... now it has 65k and a gray fender, and a messed up door... It'll all be fixed one day.

Shouldnt you be running faster with a stall, jmod, and everything else?

I ran a 14.9 with my 97 when it was stock.

Maybe the elevation has something to do with it.

I thought so as well, the converter isnt a stall, just a stock unit that was stepped up a little...

I honestly think if I put even just a new stock fuel pump in it, that it would run even better. It seems to have it's days where it feels like it's being held back. Plus the humidity is up here a little. And with all this rain, the track probably isnt the best. I dont know, I'm sure there are a lot of factors involved in it.

I have stall and shift kit and only ran a 15.1 on a 10:cool: 5 degree day with like 80 percent humidity.

Good job! Nothing better than getting a new personal best...especially when that includes jumping into a whole new second category! Two thumbs up from me!

Thanks fellas, I just put my '94 GT back together tonight after being apart for a year, so that will be the next car to get a personal best out of. Last time I drove it, it was mostly stock with a 3.73, and it was about 110 degrees and humid as heck, and I ran a 15.1 on street tires

congrats on the 14s.

still get ppl coming up to me after a pass wondering whats in it.
