I picked up some rocker interior pieces a few days ago. My first gen LS doesn't have these. So I made a few simple mods to make them fit.

Pictures 1 & 2 are the new with the old. The shorter rear pieces, I had to cut off the tabs to mount them. The longer front pieces, I only had to cut off the end tabs.

My 2000 LS did have the rear pieces at all. Picture 3 & 4 with the new "LS" pieces. I used double-sided 3M tape to mount them. You do need to remove the carpet trim piece to get them to mount right. VERY EASY.

The front pieces were a little more effort. Pictures 5 thur 10, I had to trim about an 1/8 of an inch off the bottom edges of the carpet rim piece to get them to fit right. I used 3M tape to mount the ends. The remaining tabs popped right into the factory locations. I did have to use a tint wedge to get the rubber seals out from under the new trim piece. VERY EASY.

Its a simple mod. Cool for the first gen LSes to have.

Yup, they look a lot better!

I see at the front, you have nice silver inlay pieces on the inner part - a couple of those would look good in the rear.

Your right. I will have to keep my eyes peeled for some. Not sure if they have any in other years LSes thou. I got those from a later model LS.

They look good on your LS. That's a mod I might have to look into.

fbird18 did this over a year ago. I've wanted to do the same thing, as it looks way better than then the gen 1 sills.

Not to steal your thread or anything but how do you get those pieces off? I have a Gen 2 and I wanted to take them out and try to clean them (they are just covered in crap). I imagined that they would just pry off but I couldn't get them to budge.

Do you have any pictures of fbird18's mod? I am curious to see other ideas.

Where did you get the rear sill plates? Max had a devil of a time finding a set for me.

Any part numbers on the front pieces??

I allready have the rear pieces installed

Thanks in advance

Salvage yard. I pulled a few sets. Took the two that were in the best condition.
