I got a phone call from a friend of mine yesterday and he said he had found a real nice gen 2 for sale here locally. I didnt really think much about it because around here cars are generally over prices pieces of crap. Well today he called me again and said he was looking at it as he was talking to me. He said its white with 2 tone gray interior. I couldnt belive what I had heard. A real CE for sale locally. This is only the 2nd time ive seen a CE for sale locally in the 8 years ive owned a mark.

I got the number of the seller and he tell me the following:

98 CE
one owner
79k miles
priced to sell at $4999.

I seriously cant believe it. I am scrambing around trying to come up with the moeny because I just cannot pass this up.

Hopefully somehow I can sell the g\f's PT cruiser, or do something to come up with the money.
 
Nice. Milage is not bad. Asking price not too bad for a 98 that looks sharp. Probably could offer $4k and get away with it.
 
UPDATE:

2 people are coming to look at the girlfriends PT Cruiser tomorrow, so I might actually have a shot at the CE. Wish me luck!!!!
 
What is so special about the collector edition cars? Just the interior?
 
buy it and bring it to me for a detail, i'll part that thing out so fast you wont know what happened lmfao!!!

I looked at it yesterday. Its really in good shape. Cup holder isnt broken, no condensation in rear neon, headlight are clear, one wheel has just started to peel, but the others look brand new. Its really a nice car.


It does need a detail jamie, but I know better than to pull anything inside your shop. lol.
 
specially now, my shop is getting bigger, another 550 sq ft, even more room to shove marks inside and kill!
 
Another update:

My phone has been ringing off the hook with people wanting to look at the PT Cruiser.

Tomorrow a guy from chicago is coming, promising to bring cash, and as of last night the CE was still for sale, so everything is looking good.

Ill let everyone know how it turns out.

The best part though, I talked my girlfriend into driving the Vic to work everyday in order to protect the near perfect CE from door dings.

I cant believe I might have a Mark VIII again as a DD. Its been about 3 years since the last time.
 
Last and Final update:


Knowing the guy is coming tomorrow with cash for the PT Cruiser, After I got off work at 5 I called the guy with the CE for sale and told him Id like to see it, and put a deposit on it. Turns out It was sold at 3pm. I am so *ucking pissed right now I cant even see straight!!!!!!!

So not only am I not getting the CE, but I dont know what to do about the pt cruiser. Id hate to sell it and not have enough money to buy anything decent on short notice.

well you know that car is in my town right? right down the road from me.You better buy it before friday cause i am getting loan from cefcu and it will be the wifes! good luck chris
