Bear with me for a second guys. As I've explained to a few other users I was digging up old threads because I was under the impression that asking questions without using the search function was frowned upon here. So in an effort to not piss people off I pulled up an old thread rather than start another new thread about a topic that's covered over and over again.
So one of the members gave me a great idea to start a new thread and link the old thread in the post as a reference point.
So I found this old thread pertaining to underdrive pulleys. http://www.lincolnvscadillac.com/showthread.php?t=32720
1. Here's the question. I'm considering buying Steeda pulleys as I know they are good first hand since I used to work there. I was curious if the model I needed to purchase were the 96-98 Cobra ones? I assume so, but rather than make an expensive assumption I would rather get some verification that that is the right part.
2. Also, in the other thread it mentions that using the included alternator pulley will mess with things, and to use the stock one will also mess things up. They mentioned to go to a smaller pulley for the alternator. So if the pulley that comes with the kit doesn't work right, and neither does the stock one, where would I find this spoken of smaller alternator pulley?
3. Has anyone knowingly had any issues caused by the addition of Steeda underdrive pulleys with their Mark?
4. Lastly, I spoke with a tuner on the phone and he mentioned that he can raise the idle on the SCT tuner I'm planning on buying from him by 200rpms to compensate for the drop in RPM's that will occur from adding UDP's. So will that be adequate enough to not have to opt for a smaller alternator pulley?
5. Ok so I lied, final question....lol.......will the udp's effect the longevity of the expensive items like the HID's or Neon taillight?
END NOVEL....
