this one was pretty close me and this guy in a new Lexus SC 4.3L were gonna race from a dead stop on a 50mph limit highway and said first to 55 wins......turns out we both won..neck and neck...from start to finish....good way to end my work day. I waved the guy down and said good job :-D
 
i will go faster once I get a tune in...so far only running on the exhaust, CAI/intake tube
 
288 HP actually as far as torque I dunno...but it was still a neck and neck race from 0-55 :-D
 
yeah, i think i just shift out of second at about that speed

and it's what we agreed on since he had to turn into his neighborhood at the next light :-D

Was fun though..it's been 8months since I had a "legit" street race.
Can't wait to see the performance once I get around to a SCT tuner and if Sully gets those Headers/Cats dyno charts up.
 
I took my friends 199x thuinderbird, I think it was a 95... with the 4.6. It was dead neck and neck until I hit second... then I had like 4 feet in front of em

I was running 89 oc gas though :(

And you can't get the point of a race without even being notified the person wants to race you or agreeing to a particular goal or "place" to reach. My opinion of a "Legit" street race is agreeing to a particular set of rules and having a finish line and shaking hands at the end instead of one speeding off with his nose in the air. My opinion of a "legit" (never in any way LEGAL) race is that of which I encountered...
