shyt that sux man, it was a sweet car, and im sure it will be again, everyones ok im guessin, who was driving?

5am at 60 mph and .2 seconds reaction time! :(

I was driving back from OH after working on the car getting 4.10s, driveshaft, j-mod, 3500 stall converter, front braces, new chip...

I had to pull the fender from the wheel to make it home.

Other than my pride, I'm just fine. Yeah, better the deer than swerving out of control anytime.

That suck JP. One thing I dont miss about WV is the deer in the roads. I nailed one on rt 50 going back to college one night in my 87 fiero. I loved that car.

Glad to hear that you are doing ok Driller, i know what hitting a deer is like i hit one about 10 miles from my home about 12 years ago and it did some good damage.

At least they weren't moose.

I think the damage was worse since there was two of them.

That sux! Hope the car isn't too badly damaged. (Oh, and glad you are ok too)

I haven't ran into any deers yet, but won't hold my breath. :)

Yup and there ain't no way I'm going back in that car until it's fixed and thoroughly cleared of 'bad things' :shifty: Lol.

i feel your pain.. hit 2 the first winter i had my mk... got out and saw the damage.. noticed them fidgeting around with broken legs... opened the trunk, grabbed a shovel unleashed my revenge lmao still havent been able to find parts to fix it.. every damn mk in the junkyard is hit in the same spot

Yeah that sux! The most important thing is evryone is ok! I had 3 of those fockers run out at me a few weeks ago and wreck my passenger door! I swerved at the last minute and it kept running at my car.sux!

for a double strike thats not to bad; last year we had a friend visiting and he took a double hit on the way home...#2 slid up the hood and through the windshield, fortunatly #1 took out the front end and triggered the air bags, highway patrol said that was probably the only thing that slowed it down enough to keep it from killing he and his wife, car was a total loss.

My point...glad your still with us, it could have been alot worse. And sorry to make light of a yucky situation, but i love the first photo, I wonder which exterior lights its complaining about....the only thing that could be better is if it came up and siad "by the way....that was a deer"

the things us morbid people do....due to all of the "eat him" remarks I have a confession.

About 8 years ago i hit one with my benz at about 50 (had the car all of maybe a month, and it was low milage and literally perfect)....he slid up the roof, along the a pillar and took off the drivers side mirror housing; maybe $250 in damage total (turn signal lens and mirror, not bad at all). He was laying in the road, and in my fit of rage I walked over and kicked him, he didn't move, and i didn't yet feel vindicated......had some lightweight poly rope in the trunk and a recovery hook in the rear of the car. He didnt make it all the way home (not surprising considering the way i was driving), and when my girlfirend saw him on the side of the road against a tree her only remark was something to the effect of the only other people she knows who makes their message so clear is the moffia.

I felt vindicated

I hope they both died a slow painful death along side the road.

How's that for morbid! LOL

I have this indelible image of the one deer's head at the windsheild right in front of me - mouth open wide, tongue hanging out, eyes bulged out... I thought it was coming through the windshield! There was some splotches on the windshield but the remaining trip in the rain washed them off.

I talked to the insurance company today and just need to find time this week to get it to the adjuster for an assessment of the monetary damages.

I'm just hoping I can get it fixed in time for Carlisle!

makes you want to keep a 12 gauge with buck shot in the trunk....make it slow and painful....

Hope the insurance will get you taken car of; deer really piss me off, that whole jump in front of you and then stand their as you panic thing is just bullshift, they deserve to die when they play chicken with a car
