Driving to work, LBD (the 95 Mark), coughs...then hacks...then dies....leaving she and I sitting in the middle lane with traffic going 45-50 miles on the right and left of us at 7:00am (still dark). This is beside the point but, after 45mins, it got to where I couldn't bear to look at the rear view any longer!!!!

Everything is hitting, but feels like shes outta gas...I've bought 3 fuel pumps and provided a little assistance in replacing one also and thought for sure that was it. The tow guy comes, asks, I tell him, he gets a mallott and wacks the tank a few times bingo she starts he follows me to the shop, but we only get a mile she dies so we give up and tow her.

What do you think needed replaced?

sounds like a fuel pump, but if you wanna rule out a crank sensor, check for injector pulse(you will need a noid light)

I'd do a fuel pump regardless... better to replace it on your terms, aka run the tank dry... besides you can throw in a Walboro.

It really sounds like the pump took a :q:q:q:q already though...

It might be a relay connected with the fuel pump, my brother had this problem with a truck he used to have. A new fuel pump might not hurt.

definatley fuel pump...

mine did the same thing, a good solid whack on the tank got the car moving and out of traffic.

replace the fuel pump and you should be fine.

well blacklsc1 busted it from the jump and ford nut followed - so far so good on just replacing the crank sensor, shes been running fine ever since.

XLRVIII the wack on the tank had me to...thought for sure it was the fuel pump.

(lump in thoat)
my grandmother who died in 03, gave me her good luck charm..
"a buckeye".

I carried it the console of my car and it carried me to back to back to back
04-05 and 06 street stock championships....

in 04-08 my car was stolen..along with my grandma's good luck charm.
Out of all the things I lost (2K in contents) that worthless little nut was the hardest to deal with losing.

She found it back in the 60's in california on the beach, she carried it with her up until the day she died... and I lost it.
*frowns*

so have I, and I more than understand.

Isnt it about time you get in a wreck and find a new mark to destroy? lol j\k
