Lincoln: Soundmark THX Certified Audio System
Lincoln engineers and "acoustic designers" from THX Ltd. (a company formed by film producer George Lucas in 1983) collaborated to optimize audio performance for the LS V8 sedan and Navigator SUV. The $3,700 option (you also get a navigation system) creates a surround-sound experience with Alpine hardware that features customized multi-channel equalization and digital signal processing matched to the speaker placement and cabin acoustics. In the LS, that translates to 10-speakers, four 50-watt amplifiers, two 32-watt subwoofer amplifiers and three selectable modes to optimize sound for any number of passengers. The Lincoln LS V8 starts at $51,825

 Where are the climate controls....

EDIT: Im an idiot.. I didnt look on the screen and notice the big "CLIMATE" button lol

The desription is from the 2003 LS. The ten speakers system eliminated the two speakers on the center console. As far as THX goes, the 2003 LS was the first Lincoln to get it period.
But the system in this picture is called myRadio? I wonder if this was an add on for 00-02 from Lincoln?
Also I don't remember any LS costing close to 52000.00!!

The sticker on my '06 was $50+. Of course I didn't pay that much. IIRC, the LSes base price was somewhere in the upper $30Ks.

Our '06 has the THX/NAV and the screen looks nothing like that. The THX system also uses Pioneer components. That looks like a custom install as nothing like the THX was offered on the (shown) 2000 LS. There is also no such thing as a Soundmark THX certified audio system. I guess that could be the prototype; I don't remember what that looked like.

The 2003 sport premium had the first THX system. And I just drove one the other day and it really did sound amazing.

However the navigation and audio control with the touchscreen for the car are pretty outdated. It looks like your clicking through Windows 95 while you change radio stations.

But the pic in the OP's post looks out of place... Definitely looking custom

My MKZ has the THX system. Its great. Can't believe the sound for a factory system. The wife likes the navigation function. She doesn't need me anymore for directions.

This might just be a custom "carputer"... It reminds me of some of the custom work done at mp3car.com. They make the bezel and throw in a computer screen (looks like an 8"). In many cases they have to relocate climate controls or anything else in the way of the bigger screen. The software peeps also make there own software or "skin" existing software to give it a custom appearance.

That was most likely a pre-production prototype version of the system that debuted on the Gen 2 cars (notice that this is on a Gen 1).
I'm a collector of FLM literature and it's not uncommon to see pictures of items in the press kits that end up appearing different than the finished product. Obviously being the first production car to be equipped with a THX certified sound system was something that Lincoln wanted to boast about so they probably released this information and photo quite early in the development stage.
I don't know if anyone has ever noticed, but the picture of the navigation screen in the 2003 brochure isn't 100% correct as it shows a THX Ultra logo. The Ultra logo is used on THX certified items that are made for use in large home theater environments.
