So I replaced the fuse the first time when my 2000 LS said Fuel Computer Data Error and it was working fine for a day until today. I got in my car and it did the same thing I checked the fuse and it was fine. I forgot that I recently just had my Viper Alarm and Remote start done the 5901 model. I do a status check and now its saying Door Sensor data error, Trunk Sensor data error and Exterior Lights data error, Along with low fuel and I know I have gas in my car. Does anyone know what this could be... my car won't start now either.

I think you found it "Viper Alarm and Remote start done the 5901 model"

If the alarm has a remote start capibility - and likely an iginition kill (for theft) - how did you bypass the PATS?

thanks

I don't know how he was going to bypass it... the remote start wouldn't work... so just the alarm is hooked up I don't know how he was going to do it though but it was being worked on at best buy...what alarms can i get for my car?

eh, it was just a stab at Best Buy installers. When I get my autostart, I'm having my local audio shop do the work.

The PATS thing is the tough part. Did they have an extra key, to put that box inside the dash?

1LoudLS will hoepfully chime in, as he knows his stuff about the Viper 5901.

So the Viper 5901 will not work with the LS? Yikes I was thinking about adding this to the list of mods...

Hopefully LoudLS will chime in like you said.

normally you have to defeat the PATS system by placing an extra key near the PATS ring - otherwise if you remotely start the car, PATS will kick in and disable it (as it should).

dont put ln any aftermarket auto start it just ruins everything

So if I get this taken off my car, will my car work fine after that?... I'm just trying to get my car back acting right... I don't know what to do... Its getting taken off tomorrow by the person who put it on.

ta da, im here. the 5901 will work fine in this car AS LONG AS IT IS INSTALLED CORRECTLY, i have the 5701 (same systems except the remote is bigger and has longer range than mine). the PATS thing should be no problem for best buy, since they are a DEI retailer they have all the cool new bypasses that dont need a key hidden under the dash (XK04 or PKall)however if not wired correctly, they will keep the car from starting. I used the same DEI software BB does (Dierctwire) and there are no wire connections that would be made that would cause those problems (unless of course they tapped the wrong wire) the door trigers are normaly closed (the oppisite of what the viper needs to see) so the trigger wires should be tapped into the dome light (actually the light under the drivers side dash) the trunk wire should be tapped into the trunk light.the lock wires do tap in to the DDM (Drivers Door Module) however if they didnt know what they were doing then who knows what they might have dammaged. take it back to them and have them check it out they may have forgotten to plug back in a harness to something (maybe the FEM). if they cant fix it up right, then you take it to a dealer and have it fixed then go back to that store and have them fill out a damage claim (they are insured, so the insurrance company will pay for all the repairs as long as the dealer says that the dammage was caused by their install)

oh yeh, why the f%ck could they not get the starter to work, its a ford, they dont get much easier than this

So if I get this taken off my car, will my car work fine after that

not if they fried a module.

plus if the guy couldn't get the system installed and working right, then there is no way in hell he will be able to troubleshoot, find, and then fix the problem(s), i would make sure the "seinor" or "lead" installer from their shop looks at it.
