Tell us how you like the brand X HID conversion kit you have?

Here ya go rich, your own personal sand box.

P.S.
those lumps.... dont eat em..they aren't clay.

Well my $80 kit is the BEST money ever spent on my Mark. Easy install, no wires to clip or cut and the ballast mount straps were easy to place. The light output is amazing but non-glaring. In all the months installed I have not been flashed by other drivers. Ignite time is fast even in cold temps below freezing. So far not an issue and even though I used them EVERY night of the week they are still impressive to turn on.

Well thats my take anyway. I seems I was the first to install the kit and turbo only followed based on my advice.

I only wish I went with a whiter color, that is all.

XLRVIII, you are a dipsh!t & too closed mined to consider anything else besides your own narrow minded views. Think outside of the box! There is more than one way to do this conversion. As I said, there is nothing wrong with the kit in the other thread. I was only trying to let you hard headed people know that you could do this yourself & save some money at the same time. According to you, all of the ebay kits are no good & any other HID kit for the Mark VIII is no good either. All of the HID kits that we are talking about are from Japan, China or somewhere else. Nothing makes the kit that you have a hard on for any different. You can take the focal point & shove it where the sun doesn't shine. I don't believe for a minute that it's any better by seeing those pictures.

The Mark VIII is a old car, Many younger people would like to do this headlight conversion on their GEN1 & GEN2 cars. A lot of them do not have a lot of money to shell out & would like to have a nice set of headlights while saving some cash at the same time. What is your problem with this?

I have had nothing but good to say about the HID's that I have. They work awesome & are no different then the ones you are freaking out about. I don't care who the seller is, If they are a good price & work it doesn't matter. What's next? Only your brand of tires are any good?

If you can't hang with the big dogs then get out of the way!

It was the best thing I ever did to my car! I thank you for telling us about these very inexpensive & great working HID's.:)

i have a set of hids i bought in January 06, they were the very cheapest ones on ebay at the time, i think i paid $119 shipped, i have now had them for over 2.5 years and they still also make me smile when i use them at night,

the best part is,i installed them into HId housings with wire ties, i threaded the bolts in about 1/3 of the way and then used wire ties aross the bolts to hold the bulb in, absolutely 100% jerry rigged and it has worked perfectly since jan 06 , also never been flashed the light output is great and uniform and i installed them in less than 20 minutes,if they hadnt worked so good i would be very interested in adapters, but after all this time and wonderful lighting,i cant even see the point in worrying about them,

i love the fact someone has taken the time to make up a kit for our cars,

but i also love how well my simple solution worked,

as for bitttcching about turborich...

this is a forum afterall, where the whole purpose of being on here is to post idea/experiences,and opinions.

i welcome what everyone has to offer,if turborich came on here and said" dont buy anything " that would be unhelpful, but he didnt,he simply mentioned he had a different opinion and it was cheaper.

lets move on,seriously,

also ,thank you Mafioso for doing what you have done developing your kit

I have no clue what that was, until I looked it up:

tummy sticks

Tummy sticks is the situation, commonly referred to as a game, in which two erect men cuddle closely and face-to-face causing their two erect penises, or sticks, to push upwards between their stomachs, or tummys. Sticks combine with tummys, hence the name "tummy sticks."
Chris: Hey Grant, wanna play tummy sticks?
Grant: Let's do that! Let's do exactly that!

<game of tummy sticks ensues>

Grant: Take me now, Chris! Take me now!

But no, I will not play tummy sticks.... :P LOL

LMFAO. What the hell kinda game is that? What ever happened to good 'ole draughts or... dare i say it without innuendo... CONNECT 4!!! :p

lmfao tummy sticks, i'm with you chicken, it was neat to find out the meaning, but now i want to bring supper back up. damn slobs!!!

My aftermarket HID's along w/ new headlights from Max are brilliant ( pun intended ). Off the topic, LsUnV2, as I have said to you before, I love that red paint on your LS. What chance do we have of you selling me that paint from your LS? lol. No that wouldn't work, they are different body styles. lol Gary in Elmira, NY.

Never heard of it before until i watched wedding crashers! Vince Vaughn is funny as hell. If you havent seen it do so asap. you wont be disapointed

I put in mafiosos kit yesterday.

The focal point seems dead on. The light output is fantastic, in fact these lights work better then my original hid's.

I could have rigged something together, but i feel good knowing that i have aluminum machined pieces holding it all together.

Thats just a matter of preference. I'm sure an 80 dollar kit could work just as well. I you have a gen 1 with halogen housings anything is better then what you have, i've been there. lol

It is more noticeable and important on a gen 2 imo.

I will tell you one thing, the customer service from him cannot be beat. Anytime i had a question about anything he was picking up his cell or calling me right back, hell he even gave me another guys number to talk to about getting the bracket out for the stock ballast (that thing sucks) bumper cover has to be off for the third bolt the shop manual doesnt tell you thats there.

Anyway, hes great to deal with and offers a very nice product. I'm working with him to make the entire thing plug and play. :)

Carry on.

No complaints with my 'el cheapo' lights at the moment, but that DOT legality thing does concern me slightly.

I'd certainly be interested in a DOT approved kit for gen 1 HID housings sometime in the future! Getting fed up with the dated halogen look...
