03-04 cobra manis.......don't fit

I would just rather spend the $800 to $1000 and do gears and a TC swap or something else.

Show me some dyno numbers on stock Mark with headers and then tell me the time, labor and $$$ was worth it.

I think the money could be better spend elsewhere. If headers were cheaper it would be a different story.

That's an oxymoron.

Only a moron would put headers on a stock Mark VIII. :p

I like it when people think they're not worth it. It just means a couple car lengths more for me. ;)

Likely the one who thinks headers are too expensive thinks nothing of dropping 2 grand in a sound system for his stock Mark VIII. :D

Now that you think about it, $800.00 doesn't sound so bad after all. I have seen systems that cost not hundreds but thousands, all they do is generate tickets, attract thieves, cause hearing loss, and add unwanted weight at the strip. Good piont driller.

By looking at the design of stock manifolds, Kooks have to give you decent power increase.
BTW if someone wants to save couple hundred $$ I have a set of new jet coated Kooks headers that I'll probably be selling shortly .

If Kooks isn't making headers for the MK8 anymore is anyone else? 800 isn't bad for basically custom headers. I can't see making them for mass sale because the demand just isn't there. Has anyone tried the shorty Mustang 4can headers?

Manifolds

I have an idea-- let's record the sounds of a Mark with Kook's and killer exhaust and play it through the $2000 sound system. You could point the speakers to the rear and get the sound pressure shove for extra performance.
Woo-ha-ha-ha!
