Rearend gears

3:73's are fine do what you want everyone is going to say 4:10's who cares what people suggest. thats like when someone comes on a forum and says what color do you guys think i should paint my car, who the hell cares what color someone else says, its your car, what color are you going to be happy with, same with the gears, if you want 3:73's get them, from stock to those it will be a noticable difference no matter what anyone says after my post. i too suggest calling max at five star ford. there is a link on the right side of the screen where you can contact him. ford motor sport gears is what i would get. or you can try richmond gears too.

3:73's if you are thinking about using Nitrous

4:10's if you don't want to use Nitrous

if most of your driving is on the highway, get the 3.73. If you are mostly driving in the city and don't plan on taking long trips, get the 4.10
I personally have most of my driving on the highway, Thats why I am going to get 3.73. People who have 4.10 will always have to stay below 80ish to stay under 3000 RPM.

+1

And I have 4.10s

New drive shaft with the Gears got it and I think ill go with 373's cause i do Highway driving . oh and what torque conventor should i get? I was thinking 3000 stall

If you are going to go with 3.73's I would just get a 93 one peice shaft, should be fine unless you are a speed demon...

If you are looking for a stall converter I wouldn't go with any less than 3200, but would shoot for 3500 personally.

I have 4.10s and drive it every day but 3k rpm on the highway sucks. In a way we are just spoiled because of the high gearing and OD on newer cars. MY first car was a 74 Dodge Challenger with a 4spd and 3.55s and it turned more rpm on the highway then the Mark does with 4.10s.

'93 shaft should be fine with 3.73s. You might want to have it rebalanced since it's already out of the car but not a necessity.

I have a 3500 stall with 4.10s. I would think 3200 with 3.73s would be about ideal. Gears have an affect on stall. I had the same converter with the stock 3.07 and did not like it at all in normal driving. With the 4.10s it is about as close a balance between drivablity and performance as I would want in a daily driver. Talk to whoever is building your converter as to what you want out of it.
