This sucks. I was under the car a few weeks ago and noticed a tiny bit of oil on the bottom of the kick out sump on the oil pan. I jacked the car up and looked with a mirror etc and couldn't see well enough to tell where it was coming from (trans lines are in the way.) I put some dye in the oil, and some material up top, and moved the lines to see if I could tell if it was the pan or the gasket.
The top of the kick out part is bone dry, nothing from the gasket, the sides are dry too, it's just the bottom at the seam.
I guess I get to do this wonderful job again, and I just put in two new Ford front struts as well, my bank loves me now
Good thing I noticed it before the alignment I guess...
