The Mark Being Featured in a Magazine

Thanks, Jeremi. :) I can't say enough good things about Aric. He is going to go very far with his business. His completed work speaks for itself.

Aric had to make a executive decision today. His business enterprise is expanding, and he is doubling the size of his shop this weekend. So, that means the Mark has to come down from it's perch on the lift, and become a "roller" being towed by his golf cart so he can knock down a wall tomorrow.

He is going to come in on Monday - his day off (they are actually open Tue - Sat) to install the motor. Here are some pictures of his new space, where he is going to have more lifts, and his dyno from his other shop put in. He will finally be under one roof Here are some pictures. Great thread. Great build. Looks like it gonna be wicked. Honestly most inspiring thing ive seen. Makes me want to keep workin hard to get my mark where I want it to be.
 
those studs on the hubs look odd are the from a cobra? or is the picture just messing with me?

other wise looks awesome! cant wait to hear it!
 
Thanks, Guys :) Good eye on the wheel studs. Not the stock studs. They are hardened ARP racing wheel studs. Aric had to machine the new Cobra front hubs to make the ARP wheel studs fit.
 
How much money do you think your mark is worth now? You have come along way with this beauty, are you going to get the gen2 hood or leave it stock on the outside save for the wheels and stoppers?
 
I dont know if this car will be a sleeper anymore. It might be hard to keep whats under the hood a secret now. lol

How much money do I think the Mark is worth now? lol, It is priceless to me. :)

I am trying now to find a specialty car insurance underwriter to have a rider drawn up to insure it now for actual replacement value. Kelly Blue Book value will not work for me anymore :)

The Mark is not much of a sleeper. The blow off valve and the whistle of the Vortech kind of give it away when I am rolling along. At a stop light during idle is when it is at it's quietest. :)

No plans to alter the body. Painting the bumper, and touch ups are about it.
 
Here is a picture of the braided SS trans cooler lines. The cooler is a OEM Ford truck plate type. All custom work - done by Injected Engineering, and Bradshaw Bros. - (transmission builders)

Actually I am a proud owner of an ivory pearl 98 lsc so dont assume, I was just curious as what his next mod might be.
personally I would rather have a tasca supermark hood, it looks way better than the cobra r hood.
 
The punch list is real short now, so it should be running very soon. Right now, the throttle cable and manifold bracket is the focus item. Aric does not like the idea to butcher up a Mark bracket to make it fit the Cobra intake, and the Cobra bracket does not work well with the Mark throttle cable. I suspect he has to find a Cobra throttle cable, but who knows what he plans to do... :)

Once the car is completely done, Will is going to finish his photo shoot of the outside of the car, and then finish his story. I do not know the scheduling of the magazine, but I will post the date when I find out.
 
Thanks, Bryan. lol I know I will probably run out of fuel before anything, but hopefully should be enough for me to run mid 11's.

Very happy day :) Aric is running it through a couple full cold/hot/cold cycles to make sure everything seals up and there are no leaks. He has a real fat tune in it now also. The tables between the old setup and new setup are not even close, so these are idle only heat cycles.

Once the Mark passes the no leak test, Aric is going to tear it down, and hit the shiny stuff with the buffer, fuss around with some vacuum lines, and make it look purdy. :)

Then, put it back together and on to the dyno!
 
Glad to that all is going well with your praject, Im in the process of collecting parts for my project I cant wait to get started on it.
 
Here is the first Super Rod Magazine article that you can view online now of the Mark's engine build. This is the August 2008 issue of Super Rod, that you can find a Barnes and Noble, and other book stores. There will be a follow up feature done when the Mark is all done. :)
