I drove past an LS earlier this morning that had big ol rims and all sorts of extra chrome trimming Pep Boys add-on crap. Also had the infamous 20" big emblems on the front fenders. As if I didn't already notice the size of the rims??? Regardless, the difference is that those idiotic kids who put dumb mods on their LS usually do not give others attitude about what vehicle they prefer to drive. The same cannot really be said for some of the diehard Mark owners I have encountered.

I have two sets of rims and tires for my LS.... 20" looks good for a slow cruise, and 16" who cares what they looy like cuz they're wrapped in MT Et Streets :cool:

I'm the link between the performance guys and the show guys. I'll make my baby fly, but damn she will look good even just sitting in the pits!

Simple fact of the matter here, is this thread was supposed to be me saying how proud I was to own not just the LS any more but to now own the LS and a Mark VIII! If you look at the forums, those are the only two cars with a "high performance" section. I'm sure if you would like to prove once and for all which car has bigger nuts, you can find two stockers and run them against eachother. But be fair and run the drags, an auto x, a land speed, an enduro, and a demolition. Only then can you say which truely has the bigger nuts.

BMW isnt in the same class of car as the LS.... I looked at similar years BMW, Audi and the LS when I bought my LS. I even stacked the chips against the LS and used an M3 and an A4 and an S4. Atleast in my opinion, the LS out matched them all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And with the help of some people like ILLS who have already dealt with LS performance, by spring time next year I shouldnt have to worry at all who I'm lining up against!



ILLS is right and I think some of the Mark people on here are misinterpretting his posts. Hes not saying "you mark guys are rediculous!" All he is saying (and its true of all groups of car guys) is that some of you are a little on the nuts side! Thats ok though! It's good to be in love with the car you pour your blood sweat and tears into. Im in love with both of mine!!!:D

Yeah, I've owned, driven, and built enough different kinds of cars to know better than to say anything about any specific cars being better or worse. They ALL have their strong points. Iwas pretty nuts about all my projects during them. I still miss each of them in their own ways. The civic was the most fun to drive car I've had so far. That thing was soooo fun to let loose in the canyons of socal. There is allot to be said for the go anywhere ness of my old truck. And it took a 700hp viper with a 300 shot to beat my stang at the drags. There are lots to love in the motorsprots world. I think its stupid of anyone to say that any one car is better or worse than another unless they are talking about a specific aspect. Its an opinion that lots of people are stating as fact..... and people of differing views will see that as just being an a$$. That's why ILLS original comment of "You diehard Mark guys crack me up." came from.

Dude I dont know how to tell you this but.......cars attract guys not girls.
Most babes dont know the difference from a LS from a LTD.
The gold diggers will be attracted to the bling bilng.
But the best babes wont care if its a LS or a malibu ;)

99 % dont give a rats ass and are easy to please when it comes to rides.
They wouldnt know a 67 fast back from a 67 cougar or a ls from a bmw do they think it looks sexy....maybe but what it is forget it.
You have a babe ? ask her sometime what kind of car she likes :D
Point is most will not see a LS and become magnetized to it and zip right on over. :rolleyes:
 
I don't know. If you NEED a car to pick up chicks, maybe there are other 'issues' you need to take care of first.

I remember when I met my girlfriend. She asked me what I did for a living. I told her I was a "sanitation manager". She said 'What's that?' I said I sucked out porta-potties and grease traps. I said the worst part was the smell but it usually wore off after a couple of days so it wasn't so bad.

A smart guy will make sure a chick likes you for who you are, not how much money or what kind of car you drive.

Btw, I've been married to that girlfriend for 14 years.

Heck, she's even driving one of the Marks. Hates it. I guess everybody wants to race her. LOL.

lol im so glad i'm older then i really am,that stuff doesnt mean anything to me anymore, you guys are too much when it comes to cars, i've had some really nice cars in my past but i never used one to pick up girls, i guess i didnt have to use my car because i had girls even when i didnt have a car. its a car, whatever kind of car you drive, its a car, or a truck, or a van, it does one thing, it gets you where you have to go, turn the key, turn on the radio and shut the hell up!! why do you guys get so heated over car talk. oh the ls, oh the mark VIII, come on doesnt life throw more at you guys then arguing over different lincolns. no one is better then anyone else because of what they drive. if i had 10 lamborghini's in my driveway it wouldnt make me better then anyone. you guys get lit up way to easy.

ok so you guys took this one off the deepend. use cars to get chick could never work. after they get a ride their done unless you can talk to them. All I was saying is that they are frickin sexy!!! The comment was something about pimp machines and I said the LS gets them looking!

I don't even have a running Mark VIII, and if you had seen some of the Eldorado vs Mark threads... I'm not exactly a die hard Mark VIII guy.

But since you were baiting Mark VIII guys, I obliged. ;)
