Post pics of your custom lower grill

I have alot of ideas for 03-06 lower grill option. Does anyone have pics they would like to share />? i should be done in about 1 week

This is a pic of the lower mclaren grille I'm working on. I haven't finished yet. I still have to paint the existing grille black so it hides behind the mclaren, and I have to attach it properly. These are just a couple pics I snapped a couple weeks ago when I threw it on there with some zip ties:

FYI the 06 has a different bumper.

I always liked cutting the grill out.

Well, the same as the 04-05 LSE bumper. I thought about cutting out the grille, but I don't know how structurally sound that lower piece would be on a non-LSE bumper.

What I need to paint is the bumper, where the existing slats are. I might cut them out though, to recess the mclaren back further. I've already put on a couple coats of flat black on the mclaren grille material. Not sure if I'll clear coat it or not.

I'll take a look at it better when it warms up enough here. It's sunny today, but only in the upper 40's.

Pektel did a group by with a few other members here for the material. I believe there was enough to make 2 grilles per sheet that each person got. You may want to send him a PM and ask more details.

The material I have is 1/4" thick PVC. Very sturdy. Same pattern/hole size as the mclaren grille. Unlike the picture of mholhut's grille, on mine the pattern is the same. If you look closely, the picture of his has the rows going vertical. The McLaren grille's rows are horizontal.

Yeah, winter is finally at it's end Just got done with wash, clay, and cleaner wax. The rest will be done tomorrow
