It would be cool to add the buttons to the upper console with the LEDs more compact and behind the spare center indicator. I think right of anti-theft is not a used area.

Hey Unity, I actually wanted to put the buttons and led's between the message centre screen and the command centre buttons but didn't think there was enough room.

I even thought of de-soldering off the led's and buttons and running wires from the ASHAM board to where I wanted to re-locate them - the LED's to the right of the message centre and the two buttons to the left of it! Thought I may damage the ASHAM 8 and didn't want to risk it with their limited production.

From what I know Béla (inventor) stopped making these 10 years ago. I reached out to him back then, but didn't receive a response.

Did anyone else try to purchase one with success?

I bought one in 2019, he made a run of ten, and 5 left when I made my purchase.

Not sure if he made any after that, but I got the impression he was winding down.
