Whoa!!! I LOVE THE NEW LVC DESIGN!!!

For starters, You can upload multiple photos at once, then put them in the body of the thread instead of only at the end. It handles videos a lot better. Search is a little better too. There is a lot of stuff I haven't turned on yet and am keeping a secret for now until I have time to get it setup.

There are also some things that are back-end which you guys don't see, such as the ability to work better with some of the server software.
 
Any chance we can get full sizes avatars again.. any directions on where to find things in the new layout. like your subscriptions that show only the most recently updated thread you are subscribed too ?

Uh, how big do you think is "full size"?

Ask specific questions if you can -- the answer to this one is in "Settings" at the top right

it's called 'technology'.....it changes, usually for the better, but that can depend on who (you) ask....I like the new platform and am GRATEFUL for all the work these guys do.

So a thread page would have 25 posts, possibly each with a 512k avatar. So a user would have to download 13mb just in avatars for every thread they open. This would cripple site speed.

now, the 240x240 size. For those who view the site in 1024 resolution, you want to dedicate almost 25% of the screen width to avatars?


I dont think that will work.

They sure do. this will give you a laugh. Of the people who visit and use windows (about 60% of our total visits), about 20% are still on XP and 10% are on Vista

Like all this compoooter stuff, as soon as you learn it they change it, to make it better. All good things take time. I'm sure it'll be great. I see many members spend tons of money on their cars, but not many support the site. I'll support this site as long as I'm on the green side of the grass. The knowledge I've gained and money I've saved is worth a lot more than the few bucks i support this site with. Thanks for all the hard work done to improve the site. TONYyyy
 
Could you bold the title of the thread when you click "today's post" or any other form section. I think that was how it was on the old LVC, and it was much easier to read. Also you know how it says "Form: Lincoln Mark VIII", "Form: Lincoln LS", etc... can you get rid of the "form" part?

Edit: Hmm... I guess the bold thing I was talking about is good when I use my PC but when I was using my iPad, it wasn't being bolded.
 
I like the new site, use xp on one and vista on another. The only problem I see is ....where is the cars for sale and the parts for sale section?

Never mind! Found them :)

I have most of the last few OS's running in my room. From 32bit XP to the latest iOS on my MacBook Pro and iPad. Even a Mac Pro with Snow Leopard and this has lead me to pretty much hate Apple products :mad:
