wut happand!!!

i see videos and read about everyones ls growling like a big cat, getting massive turbo spoolup vacuum suction, massive rear wheel horsepower, and diabolical quarter mile times..

and yet mine just sounds normal.. even when giving it gas and revving it a bit.
did i goofed somewhere?

i installed the kkm intake, of which im happily satisfied of its build quality.
could be the temperature outside, or maf sensor, or something to do with the throttle body, or its nothing... lol

You read wrong or false statements!

However, under WOT with an after-market intake you should indeed be hearing the secondary light up.

- - - - EDIT:

and that of course goes away when the exhausts go on. (drowns it out)

Did you drive it and get on it, or just rev it a bit?

Let the car roll up a hill and lightly pump the throttle, you will hear the sucking and growl with a load on the car, best.

oh yea, with stock air box and filter.. when i got on it, it would growl pretty hard and sound really mean.. of course we all know this.

this time around its quiet, gets a bit gnarly when i put the pedal down.. except this time around theres alot more forward energy, like it doesnt take much pedal to get up to a fast speed. so i know the intake is doing what its advertised and some..

im just making sure theres nothing wrong with my throttle body or maf. i did a maf sensor cleanup last month and that helped ease my idle roughness and gave me alot more mpg. it was so full of black crud i was like, wtf m8.

okay, comparing pics.. i do see the k&n intake kit replaces all the plastic air boxes immediately after the throttle body, and after the maf. the kkm only replaces the air box.

is there any options to build or salvage an intake tube that goes directly from the throttle body to filter?
thx for all the clarifications.

Just installed the K&N 57 last week and it sounds beast. Throttle is just a hair more responsive too.

Do you have a smart phone? You might want to consider playing some of these while you are driving
