Bought a Collectors Edition

Your a 10 hour drive from me, tempting... But does it drive? I would assume not. Wonder if work would barrow me a trailer.

Yes it does actually start up and run. Been a while since we started it. It's a manual trans and diesel. It's my boss's car. Not sure if he has a title for it. I think it's a 68 or 69. I'm sure you no more about it than I do. Please come and get it. I'll have more room to park Mark VIII's:)

Here's some progress on the ce. 1st pic is how it looked yesterday afternoon, last pics are how it looks today. Also threw in some pics of a 98 black on black that I bought last week. It has a severely blown head gasket, worst I've ever seen on a Mark VIII. Not that it matters, blown is blown, but it fogged up the neighborhood like seafoam does when I drove it to the shop.

Looks good Roger, but you should've done some beautification to I while the engine was out. Like the valve covers, and the cross over tube.

Greg, I do have another crossover tube to go in. I was waiting until it was in the car so I wouldn't scar it up. Alan offered to paint up some nice valve covers for me, but I checked the spark plug wells and they were dry, so I opted not to pull them off. Time was a factor.

What is the plan for the black on black?

The black 98 will get another engine also, probably in a couple of weeks. Then I have to decide which one I'm going to keep to drive for myself, between my white cross-gen, ce, or black one. I'll keep 1 and the other 2 will be sold. It's going to be a tough decision. I really want another black on black, I've got an a**load of time in the cross-gen, and I want to keep the ce.

Drove the ce home last night. Everything is good, except left front wheel bearing is going to have to be replaced tonight. Really noisy. When I get a little time I'm going to try and polish on the paint. This will be the winter beater, until it gets painted in the spring, or until it snows.
