Dude... Pleeeeease breath! WHY ARE YOU SO DESPERATE TO BUY WHEELS? Count to 1000 & step away from those wheels. Save up some money & buy yourself the right set ONCE! Thank God you are asking for advise here before you make a mistake.
You will always get the truth from us. We don't beat around the bush.
not desperate, just looking for a deal..reality is, i will probably never drop $2k on wheels and tires for this car, it's all fluff, just like sneakers, all show..... I may NEVER change the factory wheels, just looking at options...the new exhaust was money well spent, although those Flowmaster 40's are in fact kinda loud

I agree with you. I too don't have the money to throw away on some wheels worth half of what my car's worth. Here's the thing... you have to SEARCH. You may not be lucky the 1st - 8th time around but eventually you WILL find your wheels.

What do I mean by that? My Cobra R's cost me $350.00 from a member on TCCoA.com. SAME LUG PATTERN. I didn't need a hub swap. Chrome is chipping but they still look nice. After browsing for months I saw the thread "Cobra R's for sale. PM'd the member & 2 weeks later the wheels were installed on my '93. 2 years after I bought my Cobra R's while browsing ebay I came across a BRAND NEW, SUPER nice CHEAP set of wheels that I couldn't say no to. They looked really nice. I opened a thread for all to see here on LVC & then Here, look at my thread...

I sold my '93 with those wheels on. I kept the Cobra R's which are now on my black '97. Join TCCoA, Join SCCoA, join the .org site, join all the T-Bird, Cougar, Mark sites & SEARCH. Browse through Craigslist, ebay & those previously mentioned sites every couple days. You may come out empty handed the first couple months but you WILL get a set before you know it. Don't do something you will later regret!

If you're looking for deals don't expect to find something right away..you just missed a set of 17" cobra rs that k9t8m had for sale..he was asking like 450 for wheels and tires..granted you probably would have had to have them shipped but..deals are out there..just gotta check all over frequently to find them. I got my cobra rs used for $700 with tires..if you want a decent set of used wheels you'll have to pay at least $4-500..save your money, don't just settle on those cheap ass eBay uni-lug wheels. Like I said I'm looking to get rid of my 16"x7" thunderbird wheels for cheap if interested.

Just a thought, why don't you buy like 3 cans of plasti-dip. Plasti-dip your wheels black and see if you like it or not, and the best part is that plasti-dip is removable. Might be a lot cheaper if you like the blacked out stock wheels, I think it'd look cool with your color mark. And yeah the flow 40s are loud lol, but they sound damn good.

If I had his color Mark, I bet most of you could guess what wheel I would put on it. I'm not going to suggest it though because as of now, there are only 2 to 3 of us with them on a Gen 1. :p
