Project X

Update

Hood is on and sunroof is back in.
While the sunroof was out I replaced the seal with a factory ford seal, epic pita!

That looks good. Hopefully I'll be doing my headliner this weekend. I'm thinking that if I can't find some material that is close to the same color as my interior, I'll just go with black. We'll see. Hopefully it won't rain on me Satruday.

Most of the interior is in with the exception of the door panels.
Don't mind my finger in the one picture.

When I read the post title "project X" I thought it was about Popular Hot Rodding Project X......man am I old, still nice car and I really like the hood

This car would look like it was just driven out of the showroom floor once its done. Simply love your attention to detail.

.

Or two lane black top, crazy mary dirty larry, vanishing point or gone in 60 seconds.

I'm 26 and have seen all of those..don't forget the bullitt chase scene..my dad taught me well :D. And as for that yellow 57..they sure as hell uglied the hell out of it during its latest transformation, I loved the look of it throughout the 70s and early 80s with the polished centerlines and blown small block sticking through the hood.

Back to our regularly scheduled program.
Door panels are back in as well as the outside door handles.
I will probably redo the light graphite on the door panels, the arm rest are starting to show a little wear.
I pulled the original floor mat hook from the factory carpet and put that in tonight.
A couple of days ago I replaced all the interior bulbs with LED's.
You can see the newly recovered sun visors in the one pic also.

I did dynamat the door skin and inside of the before installing the panels as well as my components, the tweeters are in the factory locations. I ended up painting the dynamat around the speaker flat black so you couldn't see it through the grill.
