It's like Mark VIII porn with all the pics!
I figured I would put together a progress thread for the ride with links to my other threads.
Here we go...
I started out with this and I'm about to do it again, front end rebuild. The original parts came from SCP, thus the reason I'm doing it again.
I have all Moog parts this time.

Builder motor and some parts.

I picked up a low mile builder motor along with forged internals and a set of diamond 11:1 ceramic top, teflon coated, 4 valve relief, with tool hardened pins.
A nice circle D converter, 2001 trans, set of kooks, and a hair dryer to complete the upgrades.
I'm missing some pics but I'll get them later.
The block and rotating assembly is at the machine shop right now.
Looking to complete the mechanical pieces this coming spring along with the rest of the fuel system over the winter.

Nice man! Can't wait to see it done. At least the hair dryer doesn't say "Conair". :p Also, nice converter choice. Circle D makes rock solid converters.

Your really packing in alot of nice stuff. I have to do total front end rebuild like your doing too. Don't wanna spend the money.

High output Alt and big 3

http://www.lincolnvscadillac.com/showthread.php?t=83685
I went to a 220 amp Alt and upgraded to 1/0ga wire, Big interstate upfront and a red top optima in the trunk. The trunk battery is isolated by a 300 amp constant use relay.
I also welded a stud into the fender well under the fuse box for a body ground.
The 1/0 running to the rear is in schedule 80 pvc mounted to the bottom of the car.

That would be everything you've seen so far

All the old post.
Now for some new stuff.........
Some will like it some... well.. will get your H8 on.

Interior

I rebuilt the foam all around, the bottom seat cushions for the front seats (drivers side mainly) had seen better days. The bottoms will start to cut through the springs and the the edge on the drivers side will work its way through the metal support.
the heating element in the drivers seat had a couple of burnt sections in it so I replaced both sides with new carbon fiber ones.
I had new patterns made for the leather and went with nappa grade.
I did a test fit on the new carpet and check out my custom bucket seat.
Take a look at the photos.
I also recovered the head liner and sun shade, just no pics yet.

Spoiler, Roof line, Rear window trim delete

OK.. Welded in the roof seam and rear window area for the trim delete. (also cut the trim off the rear window)
I picked up a spare trunk lid, skinned the sections I wanted out of it so it would match the trunk line; I then used a 1/8" rod to form the lip. This is 100% metal fab and welded, including the corners. The corners I left short at first and then extended them to almost the end of the tail lights.
Pics for your pleasure.

Wow awesome work. Really looking forward to seeing how this turns out

Hood, Body, bumper

I traveled for work for 5 and 1/2 years, my car spent a lot of time at the airport. Door dings were unavoidable, that's how this all started; I was sick of looking at them.
I purchased the temple bumper and wanted a hood to match!!
With that in mind I wanted a cowl hood that followed the natural line of the factory hood.
I picked up a spare hood and made a mold of the center section just inward of the step up on the hoods body line, I used wax and PVA mold release on everything; it washes off with water. Made the sides, painted the inside of it, a fresh coat of wax.. or 10, and a nice coat of PVA. Laid up the cowl and pulled it out of the mold.
I then got the bright idea to make it a heat extractor hood like the 03/04 cobra as well as a functional cold air intake off the cowl for the Vortech, I also had to make grilles for the hood..
I replaced the sunroof seal with a new factory Ford seal, epic PITA!!!
Custom mixed paint off the dark variant of the factory pewter (shot of red shimmer pearl and gun metal pearl in the base, mid coat of gun metal peal, top coat of clear.
I shot the underside of the hood and laid the factory door handle on it so you can see the difference, also where I trimmed out the door jams. It has a nice flop to the paint as the light changes. Pics don't do it justice at all.
With the bumper and hood it defiantly makes the Lincoln a little aggressive.
Well.. here are the pics. I couldn't be happier withe outcome.

Paint

Paint is what it is, built a booth... and painted it. I finished spraying at about 1:30 Tuesday morning. A little dust, a few bugs.. nothing a little wet sanding and the buffer wont fix. The clear laid down like glass, little to no orange peel and not a single run.
In the last photo you can see how well it laid down.
I havent pulled the car out of the makeshift booth yet but will soon. Here are the pics I have so far.

I'm lovin' this, man. Keep em coming! You always do a Great job in everything you do.

I'd like to do 3:73s or 4:10s with traclok on mine but I know I might screw something up. I'm gonna leave that up to
the pros.

Thats the kind of hood I'd like to do someday. One similar to the
'64 Shelby Daytona Cobra coupe. All I can say is WoW.

Rear spoiler looks great! I'd like to see more pics of it when you're done.
I am working on an ultra-secret whale-tail project for the Mark and thought

...maybe you and I can collaborate on some of its electrical aspect.
I've got the mechanical portion all figured out and completed.

Thanks Ren, funny.. I thought about that too, always liked the crossfire and some of the others with the actuator driven wing. With the factory substructure it looks to be a pain. I thought about smoothing out the hump and you could do it with ease, but then I figured I'd get run off the board. :p
I'm wishing I went with 3:55 now with the future power coming.

It's like Mark VIII porn with all the pics!

Were are the chassis pics you tease!
X lol how about XXX

This car....incredible.
Forged internals .....vortec...upgraded fuel....cold air intake...re-stiched int. bad ass tunes....unreal body mods...rear trim delete...welded body seams..custom wing...hand made hood....hand made lights front and back.

You sleep much?
