Well we installed the new torque converter, Cheater slicks, brakes, and oil change. I washed it, buffed it and waxed it. Well the track got rained out. So today I took a couple pictures since it is looking its best. Just has the ugly light weights on the front.

You could get color match paint and some clear for them. :)

So Don, I think you said that you ran the aluminum minis up front at the track already. Did you notice any gain? Better short times?

Paint those space savers and make them look like rear rims. You know paint the spokes on and stuff bet would not look that bad from stands.

Yes. We also ran a little more alcohol in the mixture and it was ten degrees colder. but on 12-4-11 our best time was 11.92 and on 12-11-11 our best was 11.66 so that all was good for over 2 1/2 tenths. Best 60 ft on 12-4 was 1.84 and on 12-11 it was 1.75 so good for almost 1 tenth.

You are limited to how much you can space out by whats left on your front wheel studs threads out from the nuts. You might get 1/4 spacers in? The wide bolt on spacers come in 1 inch thickness so you would have to grind all your factory studs down to 1 inch. Dude lets see your painting skills try to make those suckers look like rears.

I'd paint them silver then put a 5 spoke wheel cover on it and spray it black. Take off the cover and you should have a decent 5 spoke design on your wheels.

Lol you guys are funny..there's no good way to make a peanut spare look GOOD..so what its for the track only..in fact why don't you throw on some old snowflakes with taller slicks in the rear, better traction and a lot less weight..those cobra rs are freakin heavy compared to stock..

I've thought about the snow flakes also. But I'm still interested in making it look as best I can. I'm going to try something on the fronts. Still thinking about it.

If you could have it done relatively cheap I would find some 89-92 super coupe rims for cheap and have the fronts narrowed to fit a smaller tire on it and throw some slicks on the back and paint them black..but that's just me I like the look of those wheels on a mark..

Don, I have a better idea. Get some M/H front runners with some welds. That will look good and be lighter yet than the minispare setup you have now. Either that or you could run the M/Hs on the aluminum minis. I guess what I am getting at is weight. I am considering it myself. M/H are LIGHT rubber.

If I had it to do over I'd probably go with adapters and some Ford 4 1/2" race wheels and tires. Like Driller.

I like how you guys like to spend his money LOL
2 weld rims 170 each 340 pair
2 light weight front runners 100? each 200 pair
2 adapters 100?

Total $640 for shinny front light rims and tires.
