Well I traded my beloved 02 LS8 that I owned for the last 7 years and drove18,900 miles to 136,500. Picked up my new 06 Ultimate with 58K. I love the new car a lot! Drove it home last night (about 200 miles). Good trip, but holy misfire batman. Coil time for sure.

Nice upgrade. That's a color you don't see everyday. Does it make you wonder why you didn't do it sooner?

WoW, you had the car 7 years and only drove it 18,900 miles. That is nuts. Was it your only car? I put more than that on my car the first year I had it. Been nearly 7 years for me now too and I've put on over 85k (one of those years suspended).

That is a cool color. Enjoy the 06!

Thanks for the responses... N8bachelor, I meant that it had 18,900 on it when I bought it and 136,500 when I traded it. I re-read my post and it is a little confusing.

Hite337, I dont know what the color is called. In pictures it looks green, or powder blue. In person it is a nice high metallic green. I actually like the color a lot even though I was apprehensive when looking at pictures of the car online. I dont know if I have ever seen one this color before.

Jmtiseo, you are right I should have done it sooner. I kept thinking about repainting my 02 LS and decided to just put the money towards a newer one.

Sweet ride man. Cool to keep the LS in the fleet!

Nice (possibly beach) house.

Thanks... I love my house, but it is land locked! Beach is not to far though. Thanks again for your help with this thread http://www.lincolnvscadillac.com/showthread.php?t=73639&highlight=nav+wiring+diagram

The dealer ghetto swapped a pioneer single din cd player to replace the factory nav because the head unit was bad. Your write up allowed me to reverse engineer the ghetto hack and install my setup from my 02 LS.

Nice and I think you got a good deal. I remember seeing a green one with 58k listed down there in Florida and thinking it was a great price. Good job color does
Look good.

I would know it for sure if my LS is misfiring correct? I mean, I imagine a little loss of power plus some shaking from it not balancing correctly with the other pistons right? Unfortunately I have no idea what the dealership did that I bought my LS from. They performed "recommended maintenance" and thats all I got out of them. Might give them a call and see if I can get some more information out of them

But beyond that nice buy man. Looks great, and I like the color

The color code will be on the info sticker inside the drivers door jam on the front. Lower left corner of the sticker.

You have the right to know what "recommended maintenance" was.

LOL They did a 127 point inspection or something, found leaking AC compressor and replaced it. The misses start maybe 10 minutes after the car is running when everything gets hot. If their tech drove it on the same loop that I took a test drive on it would not have started missing yet.

It is barerly noticable when it starts and then gets real obvious. The car stumbles on light aceleration. When it gets worse it will miss at WOT as well. The car I just bought stumbles almost all the time once it is warmed up.

Thanks again for the positive comments guys. She goes in wednesday for that misfire.

Nice move scjmc! An '06 is probably the only other car I would go for as well.
