I just feel that rear wheel drive is a must
+1 bazillion!!!!!!!!!!
I just feel that rear wheel drive is a must
Of course it can be replaced.
What i was saying is that plastic full interiors look cheap. The Gen II wood is not plastic its real wood. Also the leather in the LS is way better then tons of vehicles ive been in.
Yes it can be replaced but i would not replace it with a non luxury car. And the LS is more luxurious than a G8. If you think the LS has cheap plastic you havent been in any recent GM cars.
Dont let the age of the car trick you into thinking its cheap. Heat kills plastic over time. But a two year old car should not be squeaking/rattling all over the place.
GM is years a head of Ford/Lincoln
Thats really my main issue with a lot of the Fords that are coming out right now. I refuse to buy a FWD car. AWD is cool (Taurus SHO, which probably handles like crap I would imagine), but RWD is hands down my favorite
Yeah, I dont know about GM being years ahead of Ford, but the lack of a RWD option besides the mustang kinda makes me not happy with Ford atm, not to mention their terrible handling of Lincoln for the last decade.
dude, get over your self, none of my plastic is cracked or dried out, my 81 Catalina had the same exact style interior.
To give you an idea of how this car is far from luxury, a guy I work with just got his son a 1984 volvo, it has leather, heated seats, power windows power seats. what for it, it cost 700 bucks and runs better with more mileage than an LS....
I will not try any more to show that this is not the most incredible car in the world. Leather, power windows and a lincoln badge doesn't make it a luxury car, but it's astronomical price may have.
Also I have been, I test drove the G8 with a 6.0 liter. it didn't creek and raddle. Don't let a :q:q:q:qty previous owner trick you into think GM is junk.

because painting the plastic silver makes the plastic more luxurious? the Pontiac was more like a sports car (which usually do go for the plastic look) not going after the premium market, that's for the Caddy.

Ugh so you don't think the LS is a luxury car??? Then what type of car would you label it?

I think what he's getting at is that you always seem to feel the need to defend the LS. It's a car. Who cares, really.
entry level luxury sports sedan. nothing more, nothing less.
Well i thought we were on a Lincoln LS forum and we all loved these cars??
There is a difference between loving something for what it is, and defending it to extents it is not.

Comparing nearly 10 year old performance to today is ludicrous. When the '03 LS debuted it bested the BMW that was it's competition. Sure, there are much better performing cars today. So what?
How many LSes that eat bearings have (heavy) aftermarket wheels? I'd rather replace a DCCV than a blend door any day!

yes, and if you read what I posted earlier, a friend and co-worker has an 84 Volvo with all the same options as my car, and more. so where does that put the LS?...
