Nice, but now the chrome trim looks out of place...MURDER!

Also, for a clean looking touch in the rear.. Pepboys sells LED strips that are ready to bolt to license plate. I broke mine out if that holder and hid it better..but for $15, it looks sooooo much nicer than the halogen bulb...and it's very bright at night

I don't have any night pics of it...and can't take any at the moment because most of my wiring is hanging on the wall in my paint booth

Looks pretty good, i wanted to black out my tail lights just like you did. But after thinkin about it, its not worth the headache getting pulled over all the time and if someone can't see the tail lights and hits me it'll be on me. Even though i was gonna use the nightshades which is transparent so you can still see the brake lights, i don't want the headache. Where i live they pull you over more for tint than speeding, they're really annoying over here.

I always like the look of tinted tails, but an LED upgrade are a MUST to keep yourself safe.

You can't have tooooo many lights in the back end. I added the strip of led's on my truck, and an idiot (on the phone ) still rear ended my truck. Minor damage.

Aren't there bulb solutions available that have a more intense momentary mode? The blackout treatment is intended to affect the constant state only right?

I say don't black out the chrome but put in a Lincoln star with a black background in the lock cover.
