Nope... OBD1... you will need an SCT chip...

That sucks, I was actually thinking about that the other day as I need to check both my Marks. My friend has an xcal2 but that's no good & he can check it for free! Darn it!

I know that the connections for the OBD1 on a fox Mustang are under the hood on the passenger's side. I don't know if it's like the OBD2 where all cars have them in the same general area but I'm sure some one will chime in. Your 96 is OBD2 though.
what do you mean "no good"...is it broken?
I'm looking for one for parts I need an usb plug and a display.
Do you think he wants to get rid of it?
