I know there is a Navigator section but I want the LSers opinions. Has anyone seen this ugly thing? I am talking about the new '07 model. It is absolutely disgusting! I cannot believe Lincoln took their previously beautiful Navi and did what they did to it. If you do not know what I am talking go check out the new issue of Car and Driver, the Lincoln webiste does not show good pics of the nasty 50 style dash.

Every day I am turning away from Ford more and more cause of what I am seeing. Only division of ford I agree w/ is Mazda.

Looks like my next car well be one of those(probably the new Mazda 3 Mazdaspeed w/ 263HP and 25x trq) or something foreign.

I agree, I actually thought about trading in/ or selling my car this week for a fully loaded 4 wheel drive, 4 door, tundra. As for Mazda, I test drove a Mazda 6, the blue one with black leather interior and the hatchback, but you cant tell its a hatchback until you open it. It was quick, clean, and handled great.

At first I thought it was hideous, but I've grown to love it over the past few months. My dad's planning on getting one, and I can't wait to drive it when he does. :D

You think the new Navigator is nasty, but you like Mazdas? :\ SMH

give us a link please.

I too am turning away from ford products after nearly 25 years of buying and enjoying Fomoco products.
I know that if I was to buy a new car tomorrow (and the wife continues to veto a new mustang) then I'd be looking at the mazda rx8 or a BMW 3 series.

Manuals of course.

The Navigator is on Lincoln's Web site under 2007 Navigator ( http://www.lincoln.com/navigator2007/home.asp ),

It's not great, but it's not horrible, either. Now the tach and speedo, those are horrible; they look very much '70s and not at all '50s, IMHO. The rest of the interior looks nice.

Yuuuck,
The exterior is no worse than any of the other recent Lincoln SUV designs.
But the dash is horrible and IMO it still doesn't have a descent transmission.

Compared to the previous model IMO its nasty, the exterior styling is downright stupid and should of been thrown out. The interior is ok besides the dash, you get a great look at the nastyness in the Car and Driver magazine.

I feel for anyone who likes the exterior styling. As for me liking mazda. They offer vehicles I can see myself in, in the whole ford family besides a Jag. You are forgetting I am young and not ready to be in something like a f'n continental.

Next car well definately be considered a down grade for most from the LS. I want a manual, 2-door w/ some power opinions. Do not care if it has heated seats(useless here for the most part) and all the other things I do not need.

I am going to test drive the Mazdaspeed 3 later on, offers an amazing bang for the buck. Only thing is it costs as much as the MX-5 I want.

Hey Beamer,
put a check on that age crack.
I'm forty and will never want a continental, its not me nor will it ever be.

I want a rwd car with sporty handling, good power, good balance, good back seat room. It will have to have a manual since I have yet to find an automatic that doesn't disappoint me.

Four doors would be convienent and make my wife happy, but they are not going to be a make or break feature.

^Sounds like it lol.

I did not mean anything more than I am young and my choice for a car probably would not be something that everyone on here would like cause for some reason everyone on here is quick to judge things. Very quick I must say.

^ Mid-life crisis, or what? jk :p

Okay I'll play,
how do you figure that it is a mid-life crisis?
Look at my list of cars, I have almost always owned two door vehicles. Always sporty stuff and always manuals.

so how is buying exact the type of car that I have always liked a midlife crisis.

Heck I'm healthier and happier at 40 than I was at 30.

that front looks like it will turn into robot any time soon.
transformer Navigator...
me no like...

Yea JES, I was joking too. Nothing wrong w/ wanting a sports car no matter the age, I am sure I well have some type of sports car till I die driving it lol.

Wow. I got to completely disagree on this one. I'm loving the bold new lines of the navigator. Its different and the interior is clean. I can't wait to see one of these rolling around town. I like the new escalade better though. Anyone know where I can see some pics of the interior of the '07 Escalade?

Beamer and Lexmarkz00,
Hey I knew that, why do think I put in the comment
>Okay I'll play<

I just wanted to hear how you were going to explain my condition.

is the mazda speed 3 rwd? Only mazda I like so far is the miata and it rocks. I used to think they were gay, then I autocrossed one.

I LOVE the new MX-5(miata name was dropped). Car is freakin' awesome.

The MazdaSpeed 3 is not RWD, its FWD :(. Its the regular Mazda 3 hatchback but its turbo'd instead w/ 6 gears to use and a few other goodies.

I traded a 91 Escort and a 98 Contour SE Sport, (both Manual) for my auto 00 LS. I had too, because I have a bad back and shifting was becoming painful. I loved my cars, especially the Contour! Now I'm older and want to slow down a bit.

The LS is a great car, but it lacks some pep. I'm purchasing the new intake from LSKoncepts this weekend (along with the rest of the high and fog lights) I already boght the low beams and was waiting on wether or not I was keeping the car. I'm keeping it!

I think Ford in dumbing down their cars though. Look at the Ford line.... the Lincoln line is interesting though.... I wish I could afford the Jag.
