I have always loved the color and the rarity. If anyone has one, or knows where one is for sale, hit me up. It's the one that goes from blue to purple. Looking for one with the factory paint code TA. They only made 202 of them that year. It should be fun to find one at all, let alone a nice one i can pack away.
 
that paint job Geno has is an aftermarket paint job no Mark VIII in history ever came out with it only MN-12's like the picture that I posted on Genos thread about the tires and meats. Mines was a 95 Cougar with the camellion paint. If you want your Mark to look like it better start saving up some good dough.
 
It IS a factory one that i'm looking for. They did make them because an old friend of mine owned one before i got into mark viii's. He sold it years ago. If I have to wait a couple years, that's ok. Just thought i'd throw it out there. You never know if a friend of a friend has one in his garage. K9, you of all people should know that if you wait long enough, even a convertible will come up for grabs. :D

I just happened to be at the right place at the right time.

It also helps that about once a week I do a countrywide search of mark viii's on autotrader, ebay (more like daily), and craigshelper.com

Im constantly helping people look for cars so ill keep my eye out for you.
 
Thanks KK and K9. I do a weekly search of ebay and Craiglook (same idea). I keep forgetting autotrader though. lol
 
You mean to tell me one of the rarest mark's ever made is less then 5 miles from my house? [66106] And the wife saw it and said 'Good thing we're gettin 8,000 grand back. PLEase Lincoln gods keep it there for a week,,,,,PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!
 
My dad was a favored customer at superior chevy[Drove a few vettes of the floor] calls will be made tomorrow, and prices will be resolved.
 
Called this morning and talked to Jennifer she gave me the paint code. Gonna go look at it tonight and try and knock the price around a little. Just glad that the wife likes it.:cool:
 
i love those marks, there was a little old greek bartender across the street from my shop who had one for a long time, i asked him a few times if he would sell it, his was an lsc non hid's with black interior, the color just looked so sick i asked a few times and he told me everytime, in that greek voice, no 6 grand, no sell, so obviously i walked away, now the car and the dude are gone, what a kick ass car though i loved the paint.
 
They still haven't given up the damn paint code. Any guess exact color? And I ain't gonna go look for'em. Can't act too interested ya know.
 
The exact paint code is Chameleon Blue. Paint code "TA". Like I said, 202 total made(95 ONLY). I would pay $4k for that one. Low miles and everything!!!!

When I bought my 6 year old '96 mark viii for 5 thousand from the original owner, I posted up what I wanted, both my phone numbers and email addy. Turns out I should have even put up my mailing address! The first time I saw pics of my car was in the mail, a week after I'd remembered even talking to the guy on the phone. He called talking all slow and said he was going to send me pics via snail mail, I laughed and agreed, gave him my mailing address and forgot about him. Sure enough, here came the pics., not a scratch dent ding or worn piece on the whole car.

You'd be surprised at what people have in their garages who lurk here who never register and won't spend the time registering just to let you know they have what you want and 'would be ok' with selling it at a fair price.

Well I had the serious talk with the wife and she said if they come off it for 5,000.00 I can get it. I looked at KBB and in great condition It's like 5100.00. So there is a foot to stand on and it appears to be missing the front lincoln emblem also. I did a carfax report and it says ten things noted but it wont tell me what they are for free. I know the vin if anyone can help me with that I'll pm you. Any other things I should try to pull apart on'em to help my case?
 
WOW!!!! awsome find man i didnt know Marks came out in that color you definatly proved me wrong micahs and im glad that you did....that is one nice looking Mark.
 
Oh yes it is what I want, I wanna lick the door handle and yell mine like that guy in that commercial. It's at a local dealership, big dealer in KC, I think that will be my main negotiaton downfall. I told them I would try to come by and look at it this week maybe. Just want to scream DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT IS SETTING THERE! But I must act like it's not what I want. Oh yeah three owners last was a woman, big stack of dealer invoices for maintenance, and she traded it in for a Solara.1st owner only had it 6 months.
