wiring 2nd gen mirrors to 1st gen

i know its been done, i have seen it done before, but i dont know if what i saw was just the gen 2 mirror bolted to the gen 1 mark, and not wired up? my buddy has a 93 and bought two 2nd gen mirrors and wants me to install them. does anyone have the wiring diagrams for both 93 mirror harness and 97-98 mirror harness? i want them to work as it factory, autodim, the puddle lamps and directional led's, the puddle lamp wont be hard to figure out, but i need to wire them so everything works. if anyone can help me out i would really appreciate it. thanks.

Grab your multi-meter and start testing, write up an article when you're done. Sounds like a lot of wire and work to me, don't really know about the puddle lamps being easy unless you wire it directly to the interior dome light. That would make the puddles come on every time you opened the door. I thought they were only on when you unlock using the factory keyfob, I suppose that would just be a minor detail though. Unless your friend is that picky.

the 93's have a lighted ring around the outside key lock cylinder, the puddle lamp can tie into that same wire, thats why i said easy, the rest, lol im clueless!!

the 93 mark 8 has its very own wiring, no other mark 8 has the same wiring as the 93. when i get home from school tonite ill post the 93 mark 8 wiring diagram and the 94+ with memory/heated/auto dimming mirrors. its not a easy task to wire them up bu im also in the process except i was dumb and cut my harness of right at the plug o im stuck till i et to a salvage yard.
