Ok so just got the car not to long ago and figured i would try and use the wipers. Pushed in the button and no fluid squirts out. I am assuming that the bottle might be froze since the car came from Arizona. So I check that and it has actual windshield fluid in it and its not froze. So i try it again to see if i can hear the pump work. Nothing... now im stuck on what to do.. should i try and drain the fluid and see if its frozen at the bottom, or is the cord unpluged to the pump?? Any help would be great guys!!

well if the pump is not "pumping" unplug the harness and see if there is any voltage, if so it the pump, if not check the fuses and the relay, if there fine it may be the switch

sorry to ask - might be a dumb question but where would the harness be on a 04?

unplug it at the pump itself - that the only way to be sure power it getting all the way there. The pump is installed in the tank - which is behind the lower front bumper - passenger side.

so just to make sure i get it... just unplug the pump.. then try pushing the button if it doesnt work then it has to due with the pump or the power cords?

unplug the electrical harness from the pump, use a voltmeter and insert the probes into the harness - push the button and see if it registers voltage - if it does - you have power, if not - more troubleshooting on why.

Yes...but First Check The Fuses...then Unplug The Pump To Check...if It Still Don't Work, Find Another Certain Power Source To Power The Pump And See...if It Don't Work Still, It's The Pump......

If The Pump Works On It's Original Power Source After You Unplug It It's Clogged Somewhere......

It's either the fuse, the multifunction switch, the washer pump relay (which is in the wiper motor), or the washer pump itself. Or the wiring anywhere in between.

In my service manual it says the washer pump gets grounded through the washer fluid level sensor (i.e. if not enough fluid, it won't operate). But the wiring diagram shows the pump grounded directly. I don't know which is correct, so you may want to check that fluid level sensor too. Have fun! :D
