Alright I tried searching for threads related to this issue but I couldnt find the answer I was lookin for. Couple of days ago my window was half-way down and I started to put it up after I parked and it popped so I immediatley stopped, then tried to go up again and it kept poppin and slid down which made me think it just came out of the track. I understand that a bad window regulator is a very commom problem on the LS. The window still moves freely when I mess with it and right now I have it closed. I can also hear the motor go all the way down and up so i'm thinkin the regulator is fine. Anyways I plan on taking the panel off this evening and seein what I can do. Anyone had this happen and know for sure??

By the way this is the drivers side window.

This happened to me last year same window. The popping noise that you heard might be the plastic pulleys done broke. When I took my door panel off to replace the regulator, that's what I notice broke.

Mine is doing the same thing and I figured that was the problem when the window still went up and down. I can tell it's not up all the way though because of the hissing sound of the wind. What did you do to fix it? Did you have to replace the entire regulator/motor assembly? I just don't feel like going through all that again.

Buy the factory ford regulator not aftermarket.... just learned this the hard way.
